Miia was tired. She was hungry. She didn't have enough time to eat the whole day while they were searching for any leads about the couple drugging kids. Fish didn't have any leads if anything she was rubbing it in Jim's face how that darkness inside of his was released once he killed Oswald. And the image played over and over her head as Miia sat on Ed's couch.

"I hope you like Italian," Ed said as he held up the containers. "Well, leftover Italian at least."

Miia sighed in relief as Ed handed her one of the heated up foods. "Thanks, Ed. You're a lifesaver." She grabbed the pasta and began eating it. A small smile on her face. "That really hits the spot."

"Good," Ed replied. "I couldn't have the best Detective starve, now can I?" Ed opened his container and started eating from it. "So, tell me again. The kid said they used a pen."

Miia nodded. "That's what he said. But I know there's something more to it. I mean, what pen allows you to drug people?"

"What if it wasn't a pen?"

"What do you mean?"

"What if the person who drugged the kids used some sort of EpiPen? Like instead of medication to help with allergic reactions...it simply knocks them out."

Miia pondered at the thought. "You could be right."

"Miia, really?" Ed asked with a grin. He knows he's right.

She couldn't help but chuckle. "Ok, you are right." Miia took another bite of her pasta. "But please keep this between me and you. I'm not even supposed to tell you these things."

"Then why did you?"

Miia shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe because you're so easy to talk to."

"Well, I feel the same way. Not a lot of people actually enjoy my company," Ed admitted.

Miia rolled her eyes. "Are you talking about the way Harvey was treating you? He's got no friends that's why he's got a stick up his ass."

Ed chuckled. "I couldn't help and agree more." He set his container down. Even though this wasn't exactly how he had it planned out, he wanted to ask Miia out. And she is at his home. The worst thing she can do is say no and leave. He didn't exactly have an idea of how he was going to ask her out, so he figured he'd do the next best thing. Riddles.

"Miia?" He started. She looked at him. "Why did Carbon marry Hydrogen?"

Miia chuckled. "Another riddle?"

"I thought you might like it. Especially after the day you had."

Miia slowly nodded her head. "That actually sounds good." She set her container down and got more comfortable on the couch. "Ok." She thought about Ed's latest riddle. "Carbon married Hydrogen because...they bonded so well."

He grinned at her. "Correct. Next one: This very thing you were born with pleases us all. It's even capable of making men fall, while only experienced by few it's treasured by all?"

"Your beauty."

"Right. I am of two things. One makes me remember while the other makes me nervous. Save it for one meeting while you get ready for the next. I won't pay attention to the first one but I will with the next. What am I?"

Ok, that riddle was a new one to Miia. She had to think long and hard. This was tricky for Miia, but she responded with the first thing that popped up to her head.

"A date?" she asked. Then she suddenly realized what she said and gave Ed a teasing look. "Ed, are you asking me out on a date?"

Ed couldn't help the blush forming on his cheeks. "Maybe. But if you don't want to I'll completely understand." And if she says no then it would prove to his alter ego that they're just friends.
