Coffee

A/N: Another crack-fic. Sorry for publishing relatively many today, I've just felt very bad during the past days and writing was the only thing able to distract me a bit:')

"This could go a lot better if we had enough evidence."
Another day investigating that certainly waited for us to make any proper progress on the case.

Not just day, rather weeks. I had barely slept in ten days and I could already seem to feel the eyebags under my eyes. I mainly lived off coffee and sugar, starting to turn into the man I was investigating for- my sweet L...

Sweeter than sugar, than any sweets there were... I just wish he would know of my feelings for him.

I had fallen in love with him ever since I first met him, and every day, I just seemed to crush on him harder and harder, it just wasn't getting any better...

Lost in thought, I messed up again.

"AHHH! Damn!", I yelled as I accidentally knocked over my coffee mug and spilled it onto my white cotton blouse.

"~!", I heard L shout from my left. "Are you alright? You should run cold water on your body immediately!"

"I... I don't think it's burnt me. It just mainly soaked through my blouse..."

I sighed. I didn't have much else at HQ, apart from my nightwear. Everything else I had there was currently in the washing machine. I couldn't work in my nightwear of course, merely imagining L seeing me in that already made me blush way too hard...

"You can have my shirt", L offered.

"You're going to be cold! It's just coffee, I can live with that."

L shook his head stubbornly. "I have several ones of these here. You're getting mine."

And before I could protest any more, L had stripped his shirt off his beautiful, pale body.

I stared in shock. My vision seemed to freeze and fix onto the revelation in front of me.

"~... ~? What's wrong?"

How could anyone be that attractive? L was CONSTANTLY eating sweets and drinking coffee, yet his body was in such a great shape- seeing him partly unclothed had a big effect on me...

"~?"

"Oh! Uh-huh?"

"Are you alright?"

I nodded as my face started to become red.

L handed me his shirt and smiled sweetly.
"Here you go."

"Thank you L, you're an angel..."

Now L started to blush.
"But, L, immediately get another shirt! It's not that I don't enjoy the sight of you like that but I don't want you to catch a cold."
L nodded, still trying to process my words.
"The sight of me like that...?"

"For now, could you turn around while I take my blouse off...?", I begged. "And by that, I mean everyone!" I threw an accusing glance at Matsuda who startled and turned around embarrassedly. Fortunately, the others were dedicated to their research.

L immediately obeyed and turned around. I started unbuttoning my coffee-soaked blouse and finally took it off my shoulders, leaving me with only having underwear on, taking L's white shirt into my hands now. Suddenly, I felt a sight from behind. Following my intuition, I looked back over my shoulder and discovered L staring at me.

"Are you... peeking??", I asked embarrassedly.

"No, just admiring your beauty", he retorted without a blink as he ran a finger across his lips.
This didn't necessarily make the situation better as I blushed again.

I turned forward again and put L's shirt on.
It was so surprisingly soft and cozy! Its arms were too long for me and covered my hands, and it was far too big in general, but I could completely see why L wore it all the time. It kept you very comfortable and warm, and the scent... I was certain that L didn't wear anything like perfume, so it must be his natural scent... it was so comforting in a way, making me want to bury my face in it.

"What do you think?"

L looked at me as his jaw dropped.

"I... you... you are really cute", he admitted blushingly.

"Please do everyone here a favour and just start DATING already!", I suddenly heard Matsuda yell from the back.

"MATSUDA!", I yelled back.

"He's right"

Wh-what?

"L, do you mean this?", I asked shyly.

"Damn yes I do."
