"Shawn?"
"Yeah y/n?"
"What happened to you? You can tell me everything", I said.
We walked into the living room and sat on the couch.
"Y/n?"
"Huh?"
"You know that I love you, right?", he asked me as I nodded.
He held both my hands and looked in my eyes.
"You know, we broke up a few months ago... and one month ago I was in New York to visit a good friend. I was there at his party and saw a girl... her name is Sara. She was so beautiful and she came towards me and everything just went too fast and we ended up being in a secret relationship."
I looked down... this made me so sad. While I was alone, confused and hurt he had girls around him to satisfy him.
"A-and... don't be angry but she... is here in Canada"
"WHAT? Where???"
"At my place"
I stood up immediately. "Shawn you're telling me that your 'ex' is at your place. And... wait... you met HER?", I shouted
"Yes but that's not the point."
He stood up and held my hands again.
"She told me that... she's...", he breathed deeply, "she told me that she's pregnant"
I was totally shocked. I didn't expect that.
"Y/n. Say something!", he cried.
"I don't know what to say Shawn... I mean... are you sure that it's your baby?"
"She told me so."
"Well... there's the door, Shawn", I looked at the wall trying to avoid eye contact.
"Y/n"
"JUST GO SHAWN! GO TO YOUR FUTURE WIFE! IT'S OVER", I yelled.
"It's over", I said under my breath as tears dropped out of my eyes.
"I'm so sorry... I love you more than anything, y/n, just don't forget that."
He walked to the door with small steps and looked on the floor.
"Shawn... wait", I told him as he immediately stopped.
He turned around and looked in my face.
"Are you really sure, that it is your child?", I asked him again.
"She told me so", he replied again.
"Well... ask her for a paternity test. I can't lose you again, Shawn"
I ran towards him and hugged him.
I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and whispered: "I'll help you out"
A few days have passed by after our conversation. I just couldn't escape my nightmares.
A pregnant girl taking Shawn from me and giving birth to his first child... something I've dreamt of doing it.
This night I woke up covered in sweat in Shawn's arms.
He woke up and pulled me on his body, giving me a hug.
"It's ok, everything's ok", he whispered in my ear stroking my back.
I cried. "What's gonna be fine as long as you're looking forward to your first child at the age of 18?! Shawn tell me that all of that was just a nightmare. A bad dream. I can't believe what we're going through. I just can't take it anymore. Everytime I think about it it's like that girls just pushing a knife inside my heart. I'm too scared to lose you... again."
I buried my face into my hands.
He kept on stroking my back.
"I'm so sorry y/n... I love you so much and I'm scared to lose you too. But we'll go through it together."
We looked into each others eyes and kissed for a while.
-Sara's POV-
I stroked over my stomach and breathed deeply. That night I just couldn't sleep. I felt so guilty now that Shawn had asked me to do a paternity test. The results just made me break down. Shawn wasn't the biological father. But I lied to him and faked the results with the help of my old friend Doctor Micheals. I wanted Shawn to be the father of my child. I mean I'm broke and Shawn is the only chance for my baby to have a good life. But for it's safety and luck I use someone else's life. I take it. I just broke Shawn's life in pieces.
And he's just not the one to deserve this. He is such a kind and sweet person... he never wants other people to be sad. He makes people happy. And not just Shawn. I broke the expectations and the hope of his girlfriend in pieces too.
I felt so guilty for not being a person Shawn deserves.
-Shawn's POV-
The next morning I woke up and couldn't find y/n in bed. I just saw a note on her pillow:
"Shawn, I'm so sorry... but I just can't take it anymore. I don't want to hold you back from being with Sara and your baby. I want you to be happy without me. I'm just a burden to you. Be happy with your 'family'... Love, y/n"
