Hella fluffy. SRAR era.

Pete was gorgeous when he was coming down, and Patrick felt so, so lucky that he got to see him in such a state. His chest was still heaving a bit, and his skin was still tinted pink and damp with sweat and cum. There was a hickey Patrick had bitten into his neck peeking out from the shadows of his jaw. His hair was sticking up in all directions from where Patrick had run his hands through it. His eyes had fallen shut and his mouth was hanging open as he was catching his breath, and he looked peaceful. Patrick couldn't have stopped staring if he tried.

The air was electric with warmth, and Patrick could still feel it when he leaned down the last few inches to kiss Pete again. Pete responded immediately, humming into his mouth. Pete's arms tightened where they were wrapped around Patrick's neck, and his legs had yet to fall from Patrick's waist.

Patrick pulled away. He whispered, "You still with me?" teasingly, and Pete smiled at him. It made Patrick think, not for the first time, that Pete was it.

"You know it, Tricky," Pete said, following it up with another short kiss.

Patrick untangled himself from Pete and headed for the bathroom. He turned on the faucet, waited for the water to heat up to the right temperature, and grabbed a washcloth. Six months of dating- six months back from the hiatus- had given Patrick plenty of time to figure out every new detail that came with being more than Pete's friend, including how warm the washcloth should be during clean up. Sure, it was cheesy as hell, but Patrick loved knowing Pete inside and out.

He washed down his own stomach and chest first, then went back to the bedroom where Pete was waiting for him. Pete was already half asleep, and Patrick smiled at the sight.

He rubbed gentle circles on the insides of Pete's thighs while cleaning him up. He dropped a kiss to Pete's hip before tossing the dirty washcloth near where his clothes had wound up. He pulled back the covers and draped them over Pete, getting into bed beside him right after. He wrapped his arms around Pete as he nuzzled Patrick's chest. Pete pulled at his arm, and Patrick let him intertwine their fingers.

Pete's left palm was warm against his. His thumb was caressing Patrick's knuckles. Patrick focused on the feeling and wondered, not for the first time, how a ring could feel any different.

"Hey, are you still awake?" Patrick asked softly.

"Barely." Pete shifted backwards to look at Patrick, expectant.

"We should get married," Patrick said.

Pete's eyes widened. "As in, now? Or...?"

Patrick shrugged. "I don't know. Just some day." He ran his free hand through Pete's hair. "All I know is that I think you're it for me."

"Wow." Pete took a deep breath. "O-okay. So is this you proposing?"

"Not exactly." Patrick shook his head. "It's a...a...poll." He smiled sheepishly.

"A poll?" Pete asked with a laugh.

"Yeah, like would you want to? Maybe when things have settled down again?"

Pete bit his lip. "I definitely wouldn't be opposed to it."

"The thing is," Patrick began, "I missed you, a lot, during the hiatus." He didn't miss the way Pete's breath hitched. "It hurt like hell, and there were some good things about having some time to get my head on straight, but mostly it just made me realize how much I needed you. And now that we're together..." Patrick sighed softly. "I don't want to let go of you again."

"Me neither," Pete whispered, leaning in to press their foreheads together. "You know I've always loved you, and the hiatus just intensified it." Pete laughed sadly. "I couldn't stop thinking about you, and I was so happy for you when you released Soul Punk, but...I missed you, too."

Patrick pulled him in for a hug, tucking Pete's head under his chin. He kissed the top of Pete's head and murmured, "I guess that settles it."

"We're getting married?" Excitement laced Pete's tone, despite how soft he was speaking.

"Yeah." Patrick smiled. "But first I have to propose to you for real."

"I'll be waiting."
