A little fluff. IOH era.
Patrick was dead tired when he made it back to the bus. He, Andy, and Joe had been busy for at least an hour after their performance with fans, taking pictures and answering questions and making excuses for Pete. After all, his dick was all over the internet; people wanted to ask him some questions.
Patrick knew Pete was fed up. His life had almost become the center of every gossip magazine in existence, and had begun hinting that he just wants to stay in bed until it all blows over.
It broke Patrick's heart.
So, when he climbed onto their bus to find all the lights off and Pete sprawled out on the couch with an arm thrown over his eyes, he couldn't help but sigh.
He slipped off his shoes and walked over to the end of the couch where Pete's head was resting. He didn't look more peaceful when he slept; it was something Patrick had gotten used to after sharing a bunk with him since before time had begun, and even more now that they'd been dating. Pete shifted, his arm falling to his side.
Patrick brushed Pete's bangs back. He stared down at him, then leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead.
Pete hummed in his sleep, and Patrick took it as appreciation.
Patrick put a hand on either side of Pete's face. He leaned down again and kissed Pete gently. At first it was awkward, kissing Pete upside-down, but he managed to figure it out, and decided to prolong the kiss a little longer.
What he didn't expect was for Pete to start kissing back.
Patrick squeaked in surprise, but didn't pull away. Instead, he deepened the kiss. Pete smiled against his lips and brought a hand up to grab the back of Patrick's neck.
They broke apart after a minute, panting lightly and grinning like idiots. "I didn't know Tobey Maguire was on tour with us," Pete joked.
Patrick smiled. "Come on, honey, let's go to bed."
"You don't have to ask me twice."
