Shane's POV.
Boy: F*ggot!
He punched me again in the stomach. Then another. Then another. He slammed me up against the wall and slapped me in the face. I didn't know who he was. He was probably one of the bullies from Joey's gang. I tear fell down my cheek and he pushed me to the ground, kicking me. I screamed in pain.
Shane: Help! Someone! Please!
I closed my eyes, as I could feel myself start to pass out. Suddenly the boy who was beating me ran away and another person, ran up in a hoodie. I couldn't see who it was because I was losing conscious. He held me up, shaking me, trying to wake me up a bit.
?: Shane! Shane! Are you okay?
How did he know my name? I tried mumbling something, but I my lips were bleeding to much to talk. I tried to look around, but everything was a foggy mess from the punches. I closed my eyes fully, dreaming.

**Flashback**
?: Hi. Are you okay?
I stood up and met a teen boy's gaze. He had brown hair and his hair was styled in a quiff style. He reached out his hand and I shook it. I smiled at him.
?: Hi, I'm Connor. Connor Franta to be exact. You?
Shane: I'm Shane. Shane Dawson.
Connor: Ah! Well. Nice to meet you. You're that boy who told the school Joey Graceffa was gay right?
The sound of Joey's name, made me think of him. I missed him. I missed his love, his hair, his smile, and the way he would wrap his arms around me in the morning. His small kisses before the school bus picked us up. The way he stared at me at night with the moonlight hitting is eyes, from the bedroom window. He loved me. Oh my god? What have I done? He made a mistake. And I yelled at him for it.
?: Shane! Wake up!
I sat up and I was back at school. I was on the floor and a boy was hovering over me. He helped me stand up and he put his hands on my shoulders.
?: Shane. Listen to me. Can you hear me?
Shane: Yeah. I'm okay. Thanks.
I started to walk away but he grabbed my hand and I felt my heart beat faster. I looked at his face, trying to see who it was. But all I could see was a dark shadow and a little nose poking out.
?: Shane. You need to run home when school ends as fast as you can. When the bell rings, forget about your backpack and run.
Something about him, made me want to believe him. But at the same time, I didn't.
Shane: Why?
?: Because you're going to get beat. Even worse than ever before. And I can't stand to see you in pain. I just can't hurt you.. You have to believe me.
He let go of my hand and I stared at him. I nodded my head and I saw a tear fall from his cheek, onto the ground. Why is he crying? Wait? He said he was going to hurt me? Didn't he? Before I walked away, I quickly pulled the hood off of his head, reveling the boy. I saw his dark brown hair swoop over his eye, and I knew exactly who it was.
Shane: Joey?
He looked up at me, his eyes red and puffy from crying. Why would he be saving me? He was suppose to hate me. He's suppose to bully me, not help me. I had so many questions, but the fact that I was standing two feet away from him made my body just feel that love feeling. I haven't been this close to him in weeks. I shook my head. I couldn't fall for him again. He would just break my heart again.
Shane: Why are you helping me?
Joey: Shane. Just do what I asked.
He put back on his hood and ran away. I stood there for a second, wondering. I didn't want to believe him. So instead I walked to my locker, gathered my backpack, and walked out the front door of the school. It turns out, I did believe him. I believed everything he said. His lies, his smile, and his love. I walked home and I walked in the front door, as usual. My mom was on the couch was Oprah. I sat next to her and we both sighed.
Mom: Why are you home early honey?
Shane: I was tired of school.
Mom: Oh okay.
I closed my eyes and she kissed my forehead. I soon softly fell asleep. School is so damn tiring.

Joey's POV.
The bell rung and everyone fled out of the school, going home. I met up with the group and Anthony and Sawyer were looking around.
Joey: What's going on guys? Ready for me to beat the sh*t out of gayboy.
I rolled up the sleeves of my jacket that the group gave me.
Anthony: Where is he? He usually walks out and runs towards home to his mommy.
They all laughed and I laughed with them. We sat there for a while and there was still no sign of Shane. I smiled a bit, knowing that he trusted me to take my advice. Kalel walked over to us and sat down next to me.
Kalel: Joey?
Joey: Yeah?
Kalel: Can I talk to you in private please?
The whole group looked at me and Anthony nodded his head. I stood up and we walked over behind a tree, so they couldn't see us. Her belly was slightly bigger, as she was in her third or forth week.
Kalel: Joey, I don't know how to say this. But I know your secret.
I looked at her, confused. What did she mean I had a secret? I never had a secre- Oh she doesn't know about? No! She wouldn't know? How? I guess she saw the expression on my face and a tear fell down her cheek.
Kalel: Joey? It's okay. I won't tell anyone. I promise.
