Christopher Maurice Brown spent his many years in New York making a reputation for himself, making a name for himself but most importantly, gaining respect. For that to be all thrown away in the span of 5 minutes still baffled Christopher's mind. He was confused but at the same time, he was angry.

His mind stayed focused on the day before, on the girl who really had the guts to step up to him. He stared with fiery eyes at the little sticky note on his desk, resting his head on closed fists. This girl mustn't have known what she had gotten herself into if she had the audacity to open her mouth to one of America's most feared men.

She unintentionally made herself one of his victims. She was in for it and Christopher was ready to show no mercy on this girl who thought she could just get away with what she did.

Christopher picked up his phone, typing away furiously as he put what he was sure was her phone number, into his contacts. He put contact name as 'Bitch', something he thought she deserved to be named.

Bitch

So little miss I can speak to
whoever I want however I
want. Care to tell me ur
fuckin name and y the
hell u thought it was ok
to speak to me like ur my
mother.

My name is Amaya
Nketsi and I can speak to
you like that because it's
a free country and I have
the right to?

Bitch, this being a free
country don't give u the
right to do shit. Do u kno
who the fuck I am? Or do
I have to clear that up for
u.

I kind of know who you
are but I'm still unsure so
would you kindly explain
why you should be treated
differently to everyone?

Fuckin gladly. I'm
Christopher Maurice
Brown, one of America's
biggest gang leaders. U
could say that I run the
streets of New York and
for someone like u to
just come and speak to me
like that is disrespectful
and fuckin rude so unless
u want to get killed,
I suggest u never pull
that shit again.

Kill me? Kill me for what?
Speaking my mind? Right,
so what I'm reading is, you
can speak your mind but I
can't?

I AM CHRISTOPHER
MAURICE BROWN.
I'M THE MOST FEARED
PERSON IN NEW YORK.
DO I HAVE TO SAY IT TO
UR FACE?

No thanks, I can read. I just
don't understand how you
think you're the most feared
man in New York when I don't
fear you.

Christopher stared at his screen, balling up his hands into fists. He was furious and was ready to kill anyone who came in his way.

Amaya, on the other hand, smirked down at her phone. She knew what she had gotten herself into, she knew that she'd suffer consequences but she also knew that what she did was right. Christopher didn't have the right to act the way he does and he definitely didn't have the right to treat people as if he's some king.

Yet, she knew that he acted that way for a reason. Unlike everyone else, she saw passed the evil persona, the evil aura he formed around himself. She didn't know why he wanted people to fear him but she did know that it wasn't just because he wanted power.

There is a reason, a cause, behind every action. Something was the cause of Christopher acting this way and him being rude and dangerous was the effect. There had to be a time where Christopher wasn't like this, where he wasn't rude and hungry for power and respect.

Amaya had always remained open minded, being sure not to judge people based on how they acted. She knew that this wasn't the real Christopher, this was just a facade that he built around himself to hide the real him.

Amaya knew how dangerous it would be to mess around with Christopher but at the same time, she was determined to figure out who he really was and what caused him to be like this.

She never knew why she got herself into messes like these but she felt as if it was what she was put on this earth to do and if that's what she believed, then she was going to fulfill her role in this world.
