Rysen stared at the closed door feeling a deeply rooted rage come to the surface within him. 'He was going to rape me' she'd said. Her voice had trembled, her fists were shaking. She had been terrified and she had been beaten. This was the second time someone has put their slimy paws on her, and to know it was Ronny of all people made the rage burn hotter. Rysen wanted him dead. Rysen's phone was ringing before he realized he'd pulled his phone out of his pocket. His father answered on the second ring.

"Son? Is she okay?" he asked with worry in his voice.

"He tried to rape her." There was a moment of silence so quiet that, for a brief second, Rysen thought his father had hung up.

"How do you know?" he asked, his voice leaking danger.

"She woke up. Apparently, he was going to assault her but she spit on him and it pissed him off to the point that he decided that killing her was more entertaining." Rysen body shook the more he thought about it.

"Consider it handled." his father said before the line went dead. Rysen put his phone back into his pocket.

"What's he going to do?" Chase asked. Rysen looked back to Chase and noticed he was holding onto his anger by a thread.

"He said to consider it handled." Chase nodded, then stepped towards the door.

"Where are you going?" Rysen asked.

"To Elena of course." he responded.

"Oh, okay I'll come with." Rysen stood but Chase held out his hand, stopping him.

"No, she is still upset. Until you fix this I doubt she'll want to be around you." Chase said. Rysen nodded in understanding.

"Damn, you're right. How do I even start to fix this?" Chase shook his head.

"I don't know man." then the door was closing and Rysen was left alone to his own thought. He dropped onto the bed with a sigh, resting his head in his hands. He wanted to fix it, wanted to have the Elena he had before. The sweet, beautiful woman that threw her head back and laughed while running from three mobsters.

"Why did I have to be so stupid?"

Elena made it to Regina's old room with Harry's help. He'd opened the door and helped her limp to the bed. She fell into the soft blankets in a ball of throbbing limbs.

"Everything hurts." she mumbled to herself as she stared at the ceiling. The bedroom was painted a soft rose pink color with gray accents and decorations. The bed spread was a stuffed gray comforter that made the bed look like a fluffy marshmallow and feel like a cloud as the pastel pink screen wrapped around the bed. A medium sized television sat on a black glass shelf directly across from the bed, the walk in closet door off to the right. White Christmas light were strung up on the ceiling, the soft light gentle on her headache.

"Hey Munchkin." Elena scrunched her nose at the terrible nickname only Chase used on her. She looked over to find him coming through the doorway and smiled when she noticed the snacks and drinks bundled up under his arms.

"Let me help." She said, moving to stand. Before she could sit up Harry was there, gently pushing her back into the bed.

"No you don't." he said as he fluffed a pillow under her and pulled a blanket over her. Chase set the foods down beside her then moved to get the television going. They doted on her, making her as comfortable as possible until they both finally sat down on either side of her, the movie starting. Chase held his hand out then and Elena looked at it seeing the phone, eyebrows drawn in confusion.

"Take it back please, so nothing like this happens again." he said. Elena didn't want to take it back. Wanted nothing that would constantly reminded her of Rysen, but she also didn't want to be vulnerable like that again. With a sigh, she took the phone and placed it on the end table before laying back down. She looked between the two of them and smiled.
