     26-Stalker

Rysen had been feeling eyes on them since they'd left the school, and he didn't like it one bit. Rysen had woken up this morning entangled with Elena's sleeping form hearing her slight gentle snores. He'd brushed her hair from her face and kissed her on her forehead, feeling more rested than he ever had in his entire lifetime. He had stroked his fingers gently over her bare arms as the sun slowly rose in the sky, until the light that invaded the blinds reflected off the ring on her finger. He'd looked at it, knowing that he'd made the right choice.

To the rest of the world, being engaged before graduating high school was absolutely out of the norm, but in this world, you needed someone that was loyal to you, from the beginning to the end. Once they married, Rysen and Elena would take over the Family, and that's how it had always been. He smiled, thinking about the future for the first time and what it would entail with this strong, smart, kind, small, and sweet woman beside him.

He waited until she woke up slowly and when she caught him staring at her, her eyes had widened, her innocent face blushing. He chuckled and kissed her on the lips with a small peck before he got up, leaving her face turning to cherry red. They'd ridden to school together, the crowds staring at them in more shock than they had the first time. It seemed like ages ago that Amanda had caused a scene, lying about her involvement with Rysen, but was merely three days prior, and Rysen knew the school most definitely hadn't forgotten.

Elena had held her head high though, smiling and laughing with Harry and Chase at her locker at lunch as she threw her books into it. Her friends Jamie and Amy had joined them, their eyes periodically looking between the three mobsters wearily, though when Elena had pulled them into the conversation, they'd loosened up more. That was, until a group of men walked by, snickering to each other and Rysen saw red at what he heard.

"Jesus, she's easy, isn't she?"

"He cheated on her and she's still lingering."

"Must be a gold digger."

Furious, Rysen had turned around to lay them flat on their backs and show them they weren't allowed to ever speak of her like that, and Harry and Chase seemed keen on doing the same, however they froze. Without even realizing they'd moved, Jamie and Amy stood on either side of Elena, in front of the group of dumb douchebags. They seemed shocked too, as the three of them froze in the hall. Students that lingered had now turned their attention to the scene in front of them.

"What the hell, get out of the way." One of the boys, a tall lanky blond Rysen recognized to be on the soccer team, said. He reached out, about to grab onto Elena's arm, when Amy's hand reached out, snatching it up immediately. Then, she twisted his hand in a direction Rysen was certain it wasn't supposed to go. If the cry from the kid was anything to go by, Rysen was correct. His friends stood there with wide eyes, unsure of what to do.

With his hand still twisted, Elena stepped in front of the tall boy, her small stature compared to his almost laughable, however he noticed the power she radiated. A calm and collected power that was well contained until it needed to be unleashed. Elena smiled, and Rysen felt a chill run down his spine.

"Hi, I'm the so called 'gold digger' you speak of." Elena said with a fake, chipper voice.

"What the hell you crazy bimbo! Let me go, guys!" He hollered, and it seemed his two pals snapped out of their indecision and stepped forward.

"Ah, ah, ah. I wouldn't if I were you." Jamie said, pointing a black painted nail back at Rysen and his friends. The kids two buddies turned to see all three of them standing behind them, arms crossed, eyes furious and stopped dead in their tracks.
