A couple of hours had passed since Bahamut's visit here. Both Diana and Sylvie are fine now and are here at the guild preparing for Dazel's registration as an adventurer, a temporary one, yes they do exist.

I am here sitting at one of the tables with Dazel... I gave Dazel some proper clothes and armor to make her look like a newbie adventurer for her to blend in... I told them in getting used to calling her Diamond in public.

The guild's is quite empty today. I've only seen a couple adventurers accept quests for today and it's already past noon. The both of them called out to us to come take a look on what they have in store for Dazel.

"Well, looks like I've finished on Dazel's fake registration card." Said Sylvie and she then gave the card to Dazel. Dazel looks amazed, it's like it's her first time seeing one. Well maybe it is.

"Diamond Dawnfang. Occupation is Mage. High Intelligence and Magic Power and Average Overall... I made it seem like you were a normal adventurer, your real stats would have made others question you, and I also gave you my surname for now. Call me Sis."

"Sis?"

"Yup, so that you wouldn't be questioned too much."

"Okay Sis!"

Diamond Dawnfang sounds great. But I didn't know that was Sylvie's surname. I don't even know Diana's surname, wait I don't even know my surname! Is it the same like the one I had in the real world or did they alter that? Hmm let me see. I pull out my adventurer's card from my pouch. Shane Netherstar? It did change, and I kind of like it. Should I ask Diana for her surname? Maybe later.

"Oooooooooooh. Dazel likes it!" She grinned up to her ears, and her wings suddenly popped out of the back of her.

"Daz-Diamond! Don't show off your wings! Someone might see you!" I instantly said in shock, and I covered her wings.

Her wings pop off when she gets excited? Seems interesting got to note that down...

Dazel's cheeks puffed up as she tried to hide her wings back. "That was tiring..." She mumbled. She gets tired by that... What the heck.

"Now Dazel, I mean Diamond. Please hide your identity while maintaining your human form..."

"Okay Sis!"

That went well, too well indeed. But what would I be thinking, Dazel is adapting here to the environment of humans and learning new stuff. Bahamut visited her but didn't take her back is what intrigues me the most.

After a while, some townsfolk entered the guild and handed a flyer to Sylvie. I didn't hear what they were talking about, but it certainly is a quest. Now I was curious, how do you submit quests? Do they have something to write on and just submit here to be posted? I never knew these kinds of stuff since then, games just had quests on the questboard, but I didn't actually see someone submit a quest on the go.

Looks like they've finished talking. They both shook hands in agreement and the townsfolk exited the building, she waved at Sylvie before the door closed and she smiled back. She then walked towards me and asked "Shane, are you busy?"

"I'm not at the moment, why?"

"You don't have any pending quests do you?"

"Um, nope..."

"Well then great! How about you take on Diamond on her first quest?"

"H-Huh?! Take Dazel- er I mean Diamond on a quest? Right now?"

"Yup! Right now! The man said it was an urgent quest and that he needs someone reliable and frankly strong... I don't know why he would want someone strong for this quest anyway."

"What's the quest?"

"It's just a delivery quest, the man said to bring this flyer to the inn and they will be the ones to provide with transportation along with the delivery."

"It's a delivery quest, what's the worst that could happen?" Diana added.

"That's something I'm confused of, the reward is quite high though. Five gold coins."

"F-Five gold coins?" I said.

"Yup."

Five gold coins sound too skeptical for a delivery quest, but hey it's five gold coins that could give me a couple more nights at the inn.

"I'll accept it Sylvie!"

"That's great Shane! Here's the flyer. Be safe out there you two."

"We will!" I grinned and grabbed the flyer.

"Are you sure about this Shane?" Diana worriedly asked.

"It's not like there are other adventurers here to accept this urgent quest. Therefore, I'll gladly accept the quest."

"If that's the case then fine. But can I come?"

"Sure! Why no-"

"No Diana! You're staying with me, I've got another quest for you."

"What is it now Sylvie? Ugh! I can't go out adventuring anymore!"

"Oh trust me Diana this is way more fun than adventuring."

"Fine! Well sorry Shane maybe next time."

"Okay Diana, there'll clearly be a next time! So were off to the inn!" I grab Dazel's hand and rushed to the door. I had a strange feeling someone is glaring at me from behind, I look back and Diana looked away. What is it her lately?

"W-Where are we going Shane?" Dazel said as I continued to hold her arm running towards the inn.

"You didn't hear what Sylvie said? I'm taking you on your first quest Daz-Diamond!"

"Really?!" She looked very excited indeed and that sort of makes me happy for some reason.

We continued to run to the inn. We arrived at the inn and I pulled out the flyer and showed it to the innkeeper. The innkeeper was shocked when he saw the flyer I pulled out.

"Are you sure about this boy?"

"Yes sir!"

"Well then, follow me to the back."

We then followed the innkeeper at the back where I can see a cart which is horse-drawn and a lot of barrels at the back of the cart. The innkeeper gave us directions on where to go from here on out because we didn't know about this Billy Hill story that's surprisingly famous around these parts.

"So what is it with the Hill Billy story?"

"Every year, a man on top of the hill at the south of the town orders a ton of booze from me. Story tells that whoever accepts the quest and goes up that hill never comes back down again, in the past they were weak adventurers but the story alone made even the strongest of adventurers avoid the quest."

Gulp. I did not know about this and here I am now ready to go to that hill. Sylvie didn't tell me about this story, does she even know about this story?

As we were now getting ready to go the innkeeper called out to me before he went inside.

"Be safe out there boy! Be sure to come back and eat here!" He closed the door behind us and off we go.

Was that the last I would hear from him? I hope not, I don't know what's going to happen to me and Dazel. The quest was skeptical and now a story I only heard off today, great just great! I don't know what's going to happen to us but I better be prepared.

What will happen to us next when we finally arrive at that hill trying to deliver some booze to an old man...?
