As the swords came flying towards me, I sensed a power, a strong power coursing through my veins. I feel like... I feel like... I feel like overwhelmingly full of vicious electrifying power!

A faint voice whispered in my ear "Call out. The Power. Of The Pegasus!"

I didn't know what it meant but if that's what I need to survive this devastating attack of hers. It's worth giving it a shot. I concentrated with the power inside and called out the power of the "PEGASUS!"

I concentrated my power into one as thunder clouds gather around me and struck me with lightning causing the flying swords to fall and disappear. It didn't feel like I was struck, what I did feel is the power of a powerful being behind me, knowing its intentions to protect me.

Is this Pegasus? Did I summon this? She shined as bright as the sun, as she looks like a lightning spirit with the shape of a Pegasus! A horse with wings! It's almost triple my size.

Miss Faye backed up with her eyes wide open, as if she is shocked of what is in front of her. The portals around her disappeared as she collapsed to the ground to her knees.

"W-What kind of human are you Sh-Shane?" She faintly said as I barely heard it. I came close to her, as I held out my hand out to her to help her stand up.

As she stood up, she looks like she calmed down a bit. "I didn't realize that you were much stronger than what I expected."

"What do you mean Miss Faye? I'm just a normal sorcerer."

"W-What kind of power do you have? You even exceeded me in magic power despite being a rookie!"

"I don't really know."

"Well, that's that. But know you've unlocked your true powers."

"My true powers?"

"Well you see Shane. Everyone including all races have what is called an avatar. For us humans our avatars serve as guardians like yours."

"So this is my avatar?"

"Yes, precisely..."

"So what kind of avatars do the other races have?"

"I don't know the details, but demons have special clothing that they can use in their leisure which corresponds with their powers."

That reminds me of the two ribbons that Dazel had. I look at her as she was also listening. She was astonished as she saw me looking at her and quickly faced away while hiding her avatars behind her. She's really making it obvious for me.

"Shane? Shane?"

"Huh? W-What?"

"Where are you looking at?"

"U-Uh, nothing really Miss Faye..."

She looks where I was looking and smirked as she looked back at me and said "Hey, boy. Are you interested in women perhaps?"

"Huh? What are you talking about Miss Faye? I thought we were talking about avatars!"

"Yeah yeah, but with you gazing at Diamond from time to time really intrigues me. It really makes me think, do you like her?"

"Huh?! What are you saying Miss Faye? Of course not!" I never had a girlfriend before in my old world, so it could be nice to experience having one... But having a demon lord? As my girlfriend? No way! But now that I think of it... Dazel does look attracting in a way if she wasn't a demon lord and a spoiled brat.

"Oh, come on lad. Just spill it out already!"

"N-No... I don't..." I sensed someone glared at from behind, as I looked back to check I saw a glimpse of Dazel glaring at me as she quickly looked away. Wait, am I missing something here? I feel like the main character of a harem anime. I can't quite understand what I'm feeling right now but I guess I'll forget about it, it must be nothing...

"Oh, what is this? Even Diamond's interested in you... Hmm, I wonder what'll happen next."

"Can we atleast continue on our training? Isn't that what we came here for in the first place?"

"I know, I know. But I just enjoy youth enjoying their days. Reminds me of when I was the same age as you... The times where I used to be a rookie adventurer as you..."

"Were you smaller that time or your height was still the same?" I thought out loud and didn't realize it until Miss Faye sent a sword flying pass me barely in contact with my face.

I collapsed to the ground and again, I felt like I was on the brink of death, again. What is with her, she doesn't hesitate to kill someone, is this what an experienced adventurer is? But mere teases trigger her, teases about her height and appearance. Jeez, I should stop or I might die someday and she might be the reason why...

"Just so you know... I was taller than you were when I was about your age lad."

"How come are you so small?"

"Well... It all happened when I was doing a quest 10 years ago when I was your age. I was all alone since I wanted the money all to myself since I was in debt back in the day. That was also the day I got my own magic but when I was looking for the Witch Doctor called Tairona, he lives in a small hut in the jungle behind the Twin Mountains just north from town. Where all sorts of weird plants and herbs grow which also mutate the creatures around that area."

"Have you seen these mutated creatures when you entered the jungle?"

"Not much, but what I did saw was enormous creatures! Huge toads, huge insects. Some were huge but there were also that stayed the same. Maybe if they ingest the weird plants around them become that? I don't know I didn't really explore the jungle that much."

"There must be lots more weird plants in the jungle, there must be others that can mutate creatures in a different way..."

"There might be... But continuing on with my story... As I found the hut of the witch doctor, I slowly approached it and saw her brewing something in this big cauldron of hers. I was backing up and I stepped on a branch! She heard it and made her very wary, we met eyes and I didn't had a choice but to attack her right away. I lunged toward her with my sword and she was casting a spell. As she finished what she was chanting I already stabbed her in the heart. I didn't feel what her spell was, but little did I know it turned out to be a curse."

"What was the curse?'

"I don't know but as I grew older, my body became younger and younger. However, on that day, I felt a jolt of energy on my veins and suddenly saw an image of a sword in my head. I heard this from my grandmother that when you feel a jolt and see an image, you'll know you've got your own magic. So I tried to summon a sword and it just magically appeared out of nowhere!"

"Hmm, so that's how you got your powers."

But after her story, I sensed someone approaching us, they were also on guard so they must have sensed it too. I felt strong magic power coming. It didn't feel like a demon's lord type of power that Dazel has, or the magic of a human. What could it be?
