Freya and her mother, Mist, walked into The Sky Pack camp. it had been a long day of training and now the two wolves where tired and hungry. the sky had grown dark and it had become quite cold. The scent of fresh meat filled the evening air.

Freya's stomach grumbled in hunger as they neared The Alpha's den. The mouth-watering scent of meat had grown stronger, and Freya hadn't eaten since that morning when her and her mother had shared that small squirrel...

Suddenly Storm, The Sky Alpha - also Freya's father- came out of the den and came towards Freya and her mother. The usual mad  scowl on his face. "where have you two been?" he asked gruffly when he reached them. Cloud and Lightning, Freya's brothers, came to meet there mother and runt sister as well.

"none of your business." said Mist to her mate and started to walk past him. Freya sticking close to her mother.

Storm growled in annoyance, "it actually is my business because i'm the Alpha of this pack. So tell me where you where today!"

Mist turned around to face her mate, "i said it before and i'll say it again. 'it's none of your business'!" she growled. "now Freya and i are hungry and want to eat, so lets go into the den and have our dinner." Mist said and walked into the den and sat down around a large flat topped stone table with a dead deer fawn laying on top of it. Freya sat down beside her mother.

Storm grumbled and growled under his breath but sat down as well on the opposite side of Mist and started tearing into the juicy flesh of the fawn. Cloud and Lightning followed there father's lead and also started digging into the flesh of the deer fawn.

Mist hungrily started gorging the meat. turns out training a pup to become great  made her super hungry. Freya was about to start eating but Storm growled, making Freya look up at him. "no food for you tonight,  runt." he spat crudely.

Freya's stomach growled louder, "b-but father.." Freya wined, she was so hungry right now she could eat the entire deer to herself!

Storms light purple eyes narrowed, "don't talk back to me!" he snarled and stood up, "do you need me to teach you a lesson?"

Freya whimpered and tucked her tail between her legs and laid her ears against her head, "n-no."  she said quietly. the last time her father 'taught her a lesson' she had to stay in the healers den for three days, and Freya didn't want that again.

Mist stood up and glared at her mate, a growl erupted from her throat, "don't. you. dare. touch one hair on Freya's head!" she snarled and came to stand in front of her trembling daughter, shielding her from Storms burning  glare.

Storm shifted his glare to Mist, "that  stupid pup has to be taught a lesson! if you think  it's okay for her  to whine and talk back to me when i say no then you don't know whats coming!" he yelled, the  purple gem in his forehead started to glow a bit. outside, loud thunder boomed and the wind blew ferociously, white flashes of thunder lit up the night sky.

Mist snarled back at Storm, "how dare you!" She yelled, "you are a cruel, evil wolf! You want to abuse a pup?! She didn't do anything wrong! Your trying to starve her! Of course she is going to talk back! Freya has worked hard today trying to prove herself, and now your trying to abuse her?! You are a sick wolf! A sick evil wolf, you know that?!" Mist snarled.

Freya was still hiding behind her mother, shaking. the last time her parents got into a fight like this, things didn't go so well..

"how dare you speak to me that way!" Storm bellowed, he lunged at Mist, teeth bared. Mist swiftly picked up Freya by the scruff and moved out of the way, dodging Storm's attack.

Storm crashed face first into the cave wall, he stayed there for a few moments and Freya thought he was unconscious, but then he got up again and slowly turned around. blood trickled down a large gash in his head and ran down his face. A crazed, maddened look was in his eyes. then his eyes landed on Freya and he started taking threatening steps towards her.

"Storm, stop this madness right now!" Mist growled, moving in front of Freya protectively. Storm chuckled darkly, "move aside Mist, you know you can't win, even if you tried." he said.

Mist shook her head, "and how could you possibly know that?" Mist asked.

"because i just know!" Storm said,

"no you don't." Mist said,

"just..shut up!" Storm growled. his head was starting to hurt badly. he knew he needed to see the healer.

"do i want to do that? umm...no, i don't. so why don't you just go somewhere else and leave Freya and I alone to eat in peace." Mist said.

Storm growled and stomped out of the cave. Mist smiled once he was gone, now Freya and her could eat in peace, with no Storm to ruin it. "wow mom, that was amazing how you stood up for me like that!" Freya said, admiration shone in her eyes. Mist smiled and sat down at the stone table with the deer carcass on it.  "come and eat Freya." she said, Freya trotted over to the table and sat down next to her mother, she immediately dug in.

----------------------------------------

Storm stomped out of the cave and made his way to the healers den. his head was throbbing painfully and the blood was still gushing out of the cut in his head. Storm walked for a little while then came to the healers den finally. he was just about to go inside when Hurricane called his name.

"what is it, Hurricane?" Storm said, Hurricane walked over to him, but then saw the large gash on  Storm's head, "sir, your head!" Hurricane said  "are you okay?"

"i'm..fine." Storm said but winced. "i was just about to go get it bandaged by the healers."

 "good." Hurricane said,

"so what did you need to tell me?" Storm asked,

"oh yes, i was going to tell you that we need m-" suddenly, Hurricane broke into a fit of coughs. when he was done, he finished what he was going to say "we need more metal, for armor , sir. the mines aren't collecting enough because of over-mining."

Storm nodded his head ,  "fine, send a messenger to one of the surrounding packs." he said,

"yes sir," Hurricane said and started walking away, but not before coughing another fit of cough's. Storm didn't think much of it at that time and entered the healers den.

Little did he know that ignoring those coughs would cost him much more then he bargained for..
