It was early morning when Freya heard the sound of approaching pawsteps  coming towards the Healing Chamber where she and Mist slept. She opened her tired eyes and wondered who it could be at this hour in the morning.

As the sound of pawsteps got closer, she realized who it could be. Oh no! It's father! I need to hide! She thought, then she quickly stood up and leaped behind her sleeping mother and hid.

Storm walked into his mate's healing chamber, he was carrying another chunk of juicy meat in his jaws. As he got a bit closer to his mate, he saw the same chunk of meat from a few days before. Yes, it was still there, and It was starting to go rotten. He wrinkled his muzzle at the smell. He was going to have to get an omega in here to clean it up later...As he inspected it a little closer, he saw that a few more bite's were taken out of it. That's good. He thought. At least she's eaten a little more... but as he inspected it even closer he realized that the teeth marks were too small to be his mate's.  As he thought of who it could be, an answer came to his head. "Freya." He growled with disdain. He hated that runt. He always hated that runt, ever since she was born he hated her. But now he hated her even more. She stole the food that was for his sick mate! Anger boiled up inside him at the thought of the runt eating Mist's meal.

But before he could get more angry, Mist suddenly awoke from her sleep and lifted her head. "Storm..? What are you doing here this early..?" She asked groggily. Then she started coughing.

Storm looked at his mate and shook his head. His anger left him and concern for Mist took its place. Then he remembered what he was here for. He set down the piece of meat gently on the ground in front of her.

When Mist stopped coughing, he started to explain, "oh. Yes...I wanted to say that the messengers came back a couple minutes ago..and the other Alpha's agreed that they could have an Alpha meeting.. In the Crystal Caverns this evening..so I'm probably not going to be here for a couple days..." he said.

Mist looked up at him, a bit surprised, "wait- a meeting so soon? I thought it took a couple days to get to Crystal Caverns for some Alpha wolves?" She said,
Storm looked at her, "there probably already there or on their way. It took a couple of days for the messengers to get to all of the packs. So the Alpha's probably left immediately. I just minused the days which were seven and so today is the last day. The day the meeting will take place." He said.
"Oh, okay." Mist said.

"Anyway..I need to get going soon. Or else I'll be late to my own meeting." Said Storm.
Mist smiled a little, "alright..I'll see you in a few days..hopefully you'll sort out this sickness thing and find the cure." She said.
Storm nodded, "yes...see you in a few days." He said, then turned around and started walking out of the healers chamber.

When he was gone, Freya peeked her head out from behind her mother and looked up at her, "so...Is dad going away?" Asked Freya .

Mist nodded and looked at her daughter. "For a few days." She said.
Freya sighed, "I wish it was forever.." she said.
Mist just shook her head. "Be happy he's at least leaving for a few days." She said.

Freya sighed, "I guess you're right..." she said, "at least it's for a few days....."
Mist nodded, "that's better." She said, smiling a little. Then she yawned, "how about we get some more sleep?" She said.
The pup nodded and  yawned as well, "alright.." she said and layed down once again and closed her eyes. She was still tired. It was still really early morning.

Mist put her head back on her paws and closed her eyes also. In a few days, when Storm gets back with help, I will get healed. She thought. And with that, she drifted off to sleep.

Storm made his way towards his den. His ears shoved forward and his tail high in dominance. The winged wolves who saw him moved aside for their Alpha, their ears and tail lowered in submission.
The Alpha of the Sky Pack stepped into his den with ease and looked around.
On their animal pelt beds near the middle of the den slept Cloud and Lightning peacefully. Small, light snores were heard.
Storm padded past them to the far wall on the opposite side of the cave entrance.
Here there were shallow holes in the wall and some rocks sticking out that kind of acted like hangars. On one of these rocks, there was a satchel hanging from one. Storm grabbed it and took it off the hanger rock then put it on. It was a deer leather satchel. Made from the finest of deer skins.
