The rain outside is a horror. There was a storm coming, I heard in the news. And it’s really dawning in New York.

Anyways, Steven and I are having fun in this pub called Marlon’s Pub and the people are swaying to the music this great band’s working on.

When we decided to head home, I went to the bar to buy one more for the road when I found someone’s wallet on the floor. I looked around, trying to see if someone was looking for it. I raised it up and called for it but no one was responding. So I put it in my bag and did the shot.

Steven was already outside and the rain just kept on pouring harder. He was going out on it to go to the car when I held him off.

“What?” He asked.

“I have an umbrella.” I replied loudly so he could hear. But when I checked it out by the bar’s entrance, it was gone. My yellow umbrella was gone. “Never mind…” I sighed and he laughed at my face. “What?” I demanded, feeling upset and embarrassed at the same time.

“You just look cute, D. That’s all.” He muttered while shaking his head.
