I FOUND

❝ just be with me,
we'll figure out the details later.❞

oOo

I'll use you as a warning sign,
That if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind.

[y/n] [l/n] had always sneered at the popular cliché of 'love at first sight'.

According to her, science had proved that to fall in love, it took a minimum of fifteen days, for a love without a sense was just lust.

She argued that love was learning to accept one's flaws, and that took far more than just a moment. But as these things usually go, [y/n] soon found herself in the same predicament she had looked down upon her whole life.

As she watched that glint of mischief climb into [c/n] [c/l/n]'s eyes at the words, "It might be dangerous," she knew there was no going back on this one.

[y/n] and [c/n] worked like salt and pepper. So different, yet so perfect for each other.

They started out as typical friends; little gifts here and there, sweet "I love you"s at the end of every day, holding hands and catching each other's glances across the room. But as the days passed, and the months turned into years, [y/n] saw everything change right before her eyes.

And I'll use you as a focal point,
S

o I don't lose sight of what I want.

About a year into their friendship was when the first changes started to occur.

[y/n] didn't know what to call it, that burning hatred that flamed in her chest whenever she saw [c/n] interacting with someone else. [c/n] didn't like it, the way [y/n] hugged everyone just to make them feel better.

And suddenly, the "I love you"s meant something else, the little gifts were so much more than little, those glances held a million feelings and even holding hands felt awkward.

But still, they called each other "best friends."

And I've moved further than I thought I could,
But I missed you more than I thought I would.

And it was astounding how they never noticed.

It was so startingly obvious, to everyone around. There was no way a duo like [y/n] and [c/n] could have got through the horrible trials of life as 'just friends'.

They were like fire and ice; like sunshine meeting hurricanes and rainbows amid thunderstorms. There was nothing [y/n] and [c/n] couldn't conquer together.

But it wasn't enough.

And I'll use you as a warning sign,

hat if you talk enough sense then you'll lose your mind.

[y/n] sipped her drink casually, making small talk with Fran as the day lazed on. Per usual, [c/n] was sat next to her best friend, mind elsewhere, her leg bouncing slightly as she tapped her nails on the table.

"Damn, this girl really can't sit still, can she?" Fran laughed. [y/n] gave her a smile, her free hand dropping onto [c/n]'s knee to steady her leg. Her touch brought [c/n] back to Earth, a smirk spreading over her beautiful face as she turned to Fran and [y/n].

"Just waiting to be out of this one's company" [c/n] teased playfully, moving her fingers to intertwine them with [y/n]'s, who had not removed her hand from [c/n]'s leg with the full knowledge that if she did, [c/n] would resume her distracting fidgeting. [y/n] scoffed, turning to [c/n].
