The World Just Took A Turn For The Worst

After Grace stops bleeding, she apologizes and sits down. I take Alyssa aside and ask her what her and Carter were talking about. "Nothing." She turns away but I know she's crying. "What did he say to make you cry?" Now I can hear her crying. She turned to me and shook her head. "He didn't say anything." She said between tears. "Then why are you crying?" She starts crying harder. "When we were locking the doors. We didn't see. He's- dying." She was hysterical now. Oh my god! All of a sudden we hear a shriek of pain. Alyssa takes off running to find Carter laying on the floor, pail as a ghost. She runs over and supports his head. "Hey, hey, look at me. Stay with me." He grabs her hand with his weak, shaking hand. Her tears are falling on his face now. He whispers in a barely legible voice, "I love you." Tears are streaming down her face as she whispers, "I love you too." She leans down and gives him a good bye kiss. Soon she feels the warmth escape from his hand. She leans over him and watches him take his last breath. Tears just keep rolling down her cheeks. I wanna cry too. I bury my head in Johns chest and whimper. I can't imagine the pain she's going thro. After awhile she gently lays his head down and kisses his forehead. Then she wipes her eyes and gets up. I don't think I can make her feel better. She wanders out of the cafeteria but I don't follow her this time. ALYSSA'S POV "I love you. You know that, right?" I'm giggling now. "Of course I do. Why?" His expression is cold. "I was bit." I felt a single tear roll down my cheek. Then Olivia, John, and Grace walked in. I can't up up with it now. The next day Olivia stops me in the hallway and asks all these questions. So I tell her. Then I hear Carter shriek. I run only to find him clinging on to life. He died in my arms. It was my fault. After he died, I grabbed a rope and ran down the hallway to the bathroom. I didn't want to live anymore.
