"Alyssa's been gone for a while, I'm gonna go look for her." John nods. I walk down the hall and here her crying. I burst into the bathroom just in time to save Alyssa from making the biggest mistake of her life. "Stop!" I run over to her and untie the rope from her neck. She's crying. "It was my fault. It should have been me!" I sit her down and tell her to stop talking crazy. "I'm not talking crazy." She whimpers. "Back at the doors, the zombie fell on me. Carter grabbed it's shoulder but it bit him." "You knew?" She looked at me with sad eyes. "I didn't think it got him. He acted just fine until we got back to the cafeteria." It was hard to listen to this. "Carter would want you to go on." She started crying and she nodded her head. "I know."
