Anakin came out of the portal.
Then the portal closed behind him.
However suddenly he forgot all about what had happened.
Anakin looked around to see he was still outside the Jedi temple.
He sighed and left to go to Padme.
Later on he had got to Padme's home and they were both sitting on a couch.
They were having a conversation about the war.
"Sometimes I am wondering what is happening to the Jedi order" Anakin said and looked down.
Anakin looked away from her. "I think this war is destroying the principles of the republic"
"Have you ever considered that we maybe be on the wrong side?" Padme asked.
Anakin looked back at her.
"What do you mean?" Anakin asked.
"What if the democracy we thought we were serving no longer exists and the republic is becoming the very evil we are trying to destroy" Padme replied.
"I don't believe that" Anakin said. "And your sounding like a separatist"
"This war represents the failure to listen" Padme said. "Your closer to the chancellor than anyone"
"Please ask him to stop the fighting and let the diplomacy resume" Padme begged.
"Don't ask me to do that!" Anakin replied and got up.
He walked away and turned around.
"Make a motion in the senate where that request belongs" Anakin said.
Padme looked at Anakin.
"What is it?" Padme asked.
"Nothing" Anakin replied and looked away.
"Don't do this" Padme said and got up. "Don't shut me out, let me help you" Padme then walked over to him.
"Hold me" Padme said. "Like you did by the lake on Naboo, so long ago when there was nothing but our love"
Anakin then hugged Padme.
"No politics, no plotting, no war"Padme said.
This helped calm Anakin down.
Later that day Anakin was invited to the Opera house by the Chancellor.
He went there alone.
