Chapter 9: Sacrifice

(Kenneth's POV)

I shifted uncomfortably from my position. This is a bad idea. Hindi dapat kami pumasok dito.

Lee shot me a glare from his position on Ellie's bed side. Mukhang wala siyang pakielam sa ginagawa namin. Gee! While on the other hand Ellie was asleep and floating in mid-air with bunch of magic circles filled with letters enveloping her, courtesy of Ray.

I'm surprised in how things had gone smoothly, especially on Lee's task on putting a sleeping spell on Ellie. Hindi ko alam kung anong hokus pokus ang ginawa niya para mailagay and spell sa noo ni Ellie but I applaud him for that.

And now we're in our plan's PHASE 2, searching Ellie's body for any magical that turned her to be a great asset to the Enchanted forest. It's weird on how a normal woman like her piqued a witch Interest, I'm talking about Diana. Alam ko ang mga tingin na ibinibigay sa kanya ng mangkukulam na iyon.

I'm curious, okay? But...isn't this trespassing? Pwede namang sa sala na namin ito gawin eh. Bakit sa kwarto pa ni Ellie?

Isn't it rude to enter a lady's room without a permission? Beside knowing Ellie, hindi kaya magalit siya kapag natuklasan niyang pumasok kami sa kwarto niya? Oh shit she'll definitely---

" You're thinking too much, Kenneth." Lee said as he shot me with a reprimanding look.

" I can't help it! This is trespassing! Can't you see? This is a lady's room!"

" Kitty won't passed for a lady." he commented flatly.

" She's still a woman!" I argued back.

" Never act liked one."

Gaah! It's no use reasoning with him.

" Shut up, both of you." Rinig kong saad ni Ray, and I glanced at his position on the other side of the bed. Noting that Ellie is on her bed again, nakadapa lang siya ngayon and the magic circles were dispersed.

" Did you get something?" tanong ni Lee

" Yeah."

Napakunot ang noo ko sa sagot ni Ray at lumapit sa kama. Ray moved to lift Ellie's sleeveless black shirt. Uh-oh.

" Oi, ano iyan ha?" pagpigil ko sa anumang gagawin niya. Hindi ko gusto kung ano ang pumapasok sa utak ko.

" Aray!" reklamo ko ng binatukan ako ni Lee.

" Look closely, stupid."

Reluctantly, sinunod ko ang sinabi niya. Nakataas na ng unti ang shirt ni Ellie, and I can see a black patterns on her back. A tattoo, I think. Itinaas pa ni Ray ang shirt, ignoring the bra's strap, I can make out a tiger face out of the black pattern.

" Tattoo lang naman, ah." I commented.

Tiningnan ko ito ng mabuti, I can't feel any magical about it. So what makes it special?

" I never seen it on her before." Napatingin kaming dalawa ni Ray kay Lee. We know what he's been doing this past few days, he's stalking her. Ehem, gathering information on his defense.

Tiningnan niya kami ng masama bago ibinaling ang tingin sa likod ni Ellie, " She got a bad habit of wearing sleeveless shirts. Look at this patterns." tinuro niya ang mga black pattern sa shoulder blades ni Ellie. " I would notice it in any occasion."

Right. As expected of Lee. Mapapansin niya yun kapag naka-sleeveless si Ellie. Especially on that time she's wearing a jersey, sleveless ito pero wala kaming black patterns na napansin sa balikat niya.
