I forced another smile as another girl approached me. I could tell she had been crying, like most others, and she looked extremely fanatical. I tuned out what she said, all but her name, as she twirled her hair in an obvious attempt to attract me to her.

Normally, I was very patient with the fans that were a little different, but I was on edge today and had no tolerance for the fans at all. I hated to be like this-where the fans got on my nerves for just being themselves, but it happens every now and then.

I felt Audrey's arm brush up against my back as she squeezed between the wall and I to get to Leeteuk, who was on my left. I allowed myself to glance at her, calming me a little bit. I quickly signed the poster and she was replaced by the girl behind her.

It was a never ending line of fans that annoyed me today, and I had just had enough when we finished up. I sent up a silent prayer as the last fan left my line and the members started to disperse, having a little time to relax before our next schedule.

Unlike everyone else, I wanted to seclude myself. I remember passing a quaint, little abandoned dressing room on our way in. Once I found it, I closed the door and took refuge on the couch in the corner. I folded my hands over my chest, but I felt paper from inside my cardigan pocket. Remembering what it was, I took it out.

A fan had given me a love letter. I always loved reading the letters that the fans gave to me, because I was always amazed at how they could say such things and be sincere. Since it was in English, I grazed over the words. Surprisingly, I recognized quite a lot of them. I put together pieces and formed ideas. I liked it, and the hand-drawn designs around the edges were cute.

"So this is where you went." I jumped, crinkling the letter as Audrey startled me.

"Don't sneak up on me like that." She stood in the doorway, and if it was anyone but her, I would have cursed myself for not locking the door. How did she even open it without me noticing?

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." She crossed her arms and I sneered at her.

"I wasn't scared, you just startled me."

"Yeah, uh-huh." She laughed, walking over to where I was laying down. She picked up my legs, sat down, and placed them on her lap. "What is the great Cho Kyuhyun doing in an abandoned room, lying down?"

"I was reading a letter a fan gave me." She nodded, pursing her lips.

"You couldn't read that in the dressing room?"

"I had a headache, and I really wanted some time alone."

"Oh, I'm sorry I interrupted. I'll go." She started to move, but I stopped her.

"It's fine. I don't mind." She smiled, leaning her arms on my legs.

"Well, if you want to join civilization any time soon, we were just about to eat." I laughed, shaking my head.

"I guess I'll go out when you do."

"Sounds good." She paused for a second, looking away. "Can I ask a question?"

"Sure."

"What kind of letter is it?" I grinned, seeing the perfect opportunity to make her jealous, hopefully.

"A love letter of course." She eyed the paper in my hand so menacingly that I half expected it to burst into flames.

"How many love letters do you usually get?"

"Usually about a couple hundred, but I obviously can't read them all. Most are thrown away by the company and the staff, but I read the occasional one. But a good eighty percent of the letters we receive are confessions and love letters." She nodded along, listening intently.
