I slowly wake up, feeling drowsy and a little weird. The last thing I remember is not feeling well and falling asleep on Erik's couch. So, I get a little scared when I see white walls all around me and I don't feel like I'm sleeping on the couch.

"Noa, hey," someone whispers, grabbing my hand. "Are you awake, Noa?" I groan and turn to my head to the side, smiling a little when I see Erik.

"Hey." My voice is gravely and doesn't sound very good. I go to clear my throat but my mouth is too dry. "Water?" I choke out and Erik quickly moves around to pour me a cup of water. He lifts my head up and helps me drink.

"How are you feeling?"

"I feel weird. Sleepy." Erik chuckles, taking my hand again. "What happened?"

"Well, when you had stayed out in the cold so long, you got really sick. Your temperature rose like crazy and you were delirious. I got worried and when Sydney and Daryl didn't know what to do, we took you to the hospital. They said you had a bad version of the flu that's been going around lately. We got you here right on time." He rubs his thumb against the back of my hand and I smile.

"Thank you for caring so much," I whisper, holding his hand. He smiles at me and it makes my heart flutter. Erik chuckles and scoots closer to me.

"Why would I not care? You mean a lot more to me than you realize." I'm about to ask him what he means when the door opens and two people rush in.

"Noa! Thank God you're okay!" Jackie yells, rushing towards me and giving me a hug. This makes me pull my hand away from Erik and I immediately miss the warmth his hand brings mine.

"It's just the flu, Jackie. I'm not dying." Jackie pulls away and Danny walks in. He gives me a hug and is far less emotional than Jackie was. Something seems to be on his mind, though, because he is quieter than usual. They both sit on the small couch on the opposite side of the bed from Erik who grabs my hand again.
