The fluff from the bear covers my face and I keep pushing it down to stop it from getting stuck in my mouth. Erik had tried getting me to put the massive stuffed animal in the backseat but it was soft and kept me warm. His car had heat but it takes forever to work and I knew we'd be home before it had actually started to kick in.

"You're gonna cough up a hairball tomorrow morning," Erik chuckles. "Seriously, if you're cold just take my jacket." I look over at him smiling lightly as he starts to unzip his jacket. Shaking my head, I tighten my hold on the bear. It's not even about the physical warmth, the bear was just comforting because he had won/bought it for me. It comforted me.

"I'm fine. We're about to be home anyway and it'll be easier to just carry it out instead of having to go in the backseat. And you know those doors don't close easily so we'd probably be fighting this hunk of metal for a good hour." He rolls his eyes as I smirk, knowing I've fully won the argument when he opens his mouth but sighs instead of speaking. The red light that he bathed in turned green and we continued the ride home.

Much like the adventurous ride that got us here, we were kind of lost but not super worried. If anything we just had to put the address into one of our phones to find our way back.

Plus, I don't think either of us wanted to pop the little bubble we created tonight. It feels like we want to spend the most time possible with each other as though we don't live together.

I watch as Erik drives, completely relaxed and focused on the road. He always drives with one hand limply between us and I really just wanna hold it. Feel his fingers tighten around my hand, maybe do that thumb thing I've read about in books before. I know his hands are soft with little patches of rough skin on the tips of his fingers and the top of his palm from healed over burns.

I really just want to hold his hand.
