About ten minutes later, I finally reach the record shop. I open the door and walk to the back of the shop to put my stuff away. I close my locker and lock the lock and head back out to the cash register. "Hey, Rebecca? Where have you been?" Niall says walking up to me holding books on how to play guitar. "I've been off! I've been busy so I haven't been able to stop by here and grab a few things. Don't worry I'll be here for the rest of the week." Niall smiles. "Well, so will I!" He says with a cheeky grin. He moves the guitar books and there he is, wearing a Bailey's Record and Instrument shirt. "You got a job here? Congratulations Niall!" He laughs. "Since I shop here so much I asked the manager if there were any open positions and I applied for a job and I got in yesterday!" I smile. "Well, welcome to the crew!"

We continue working and helping customers. After a while I pull out my phone and check the clock. "I'll see you tomorrow Niall, my shift is over." He smiles. "Alright, goodnight. Get home safe" I walk to the back of the store, grab my stuff, and head out. I walk outside to a motorcycle sitting outside of the shop. "I told you I don't need a ride." I sigh. Shorty looks up at me. "I know you don't need it. But Helda wants me to give it to you so I guess I have to." roll my eyes. "Well, we'll tell Helda I don't need a ride anymore. I'm perfectly fine walking." He laughs. "It's too bad." I raise an eyebrow. "You live on our side of town now. You don't always get what you want anymore princess." I laugh. "What's with the nickname?" He shrugs. "Does it matter?" He says smirking holding out his helmet for me waiting to grab it. "Well are you going to take it or not?" He asked holding it out even further. I sigh, grabbing it and getting on. I clip on the helmet to my head tighten the strap.

I move my arms to across Shorty's waist.  It was a quiet ride to the hotel. Silent, wind rustling through my hair. "So if you're going to be driving me around, what's your name?" He laughs. I raise an eyebrow and am confused. I mean it's not that big of a deal is it? "That would be none of your business. For now, anyway." I roll my eyes. "I know you're name is L." He stops short at the red light and turns his head around. "How' you figure that out?" "Well, Helda said something about L this morning, so I assumed it was you." He rolls his eyes. "It's either L or L.T."

We finally reach back the the hotel. I untighten the strap to where it was and I clip off the helmet it to L once he gets off the bike. I hop off myself and head inside to say hello to Helda. "How did you know my schedule?" She sighs. "That other day when L went to the shop, he did some investigating for me. He said there was a girl who had bags everywhere, running a tiny little record shop by herself. I figured you'd come here, it was the closest hotel nearby."

I smile. "Thanks for looking out for me. But Helda I really don't need a ride for-" "Nonsense! Were you on time for school this morning?" I smile slightly. "Yeah,  I was early, actually. More than usual." She grins. "So, has L taking you places a good benefit for you? Maybe his friends will leave you alone too." I smile. "Maybe."

I head upstairs to my room and unlock the door. I drop my backpack on my bed and grab some clean clothes and head to the bathroom to take a shower. I sigh as I run the shampoo and conditioner through my hair and clean my body. What would happen if I head back home? I was the rest of the soap out of my hair and the let water run down my body. If I did go back home, would I be able to grab the rest of my stuff? Or would my dad do something scarring? And would I be able to see my brother? He should be in town by now.

After a long hour of thinking, I decided I'd go home for a while tomorrow. To pack the rest of my stuff up, and if my brother was there talk to him and give him my number since I got a new phone ever since he left. I turn the water off and get out of the shower. I dry off, change into my clean clothes, and lay onto the bed and pick up my phone. I unlock my phone and I play a couple of games in my phone.

After a while of playing a few games, I turned on my Spotify and put it on blast. I turned my phone around and lay in my bed in silence and close my eyes. After a few minutes, I hear a ding sound from my phone. I pick it up and unlock my phone to see that Jenny texted me and I had one missed call from her. She calls me again and I pick up this time. "Bec, you can't do that to me I was getting worried!" I sigh. "I'm sorry, I've had a long day at work. Or a long day in general. What's up?" She yawns over the phone. "My mom found your bags in my trunk and she wants me to take them to you. Can you text me where you're staying?" "Yeah, sure."

I hang up and I send Jenny the address of the hotel. She texts back a thumbs up and I'm assuming she's on her way. I go into the kitchen and grab a package of cheez-its. I sit on the couch and turn on the tv and hook up my Netflix.

After about 15 minutes,I get a text from Jenny saying she's here. I grab my purse and throw on my vans and head out of the door. As I am walking towards the elevator, I'm scrolling through my phone. I feel myself step on someone's shoe, and bump into them.

"I am so sorry," I say." She looks up at me. "Oh it's alright," I smile. "Are you from around here?" I ask. "No, I'm actually from New Zealand. My parents and I moved here to New York when I was six. My dad and I then just now moved down here but he passed away. Are you?" I sigh. "Yeah,  I'm from Webber. Long story short, I never knew my mom and my dad kicked me out." She frowns. "Well I'm Kaelyn. Kaelyn Manday. And starting Monday, I'll actually be attending Webber High. Do you still go there?" I smile. "Yeah, I do actually. It's not far from here. And I'm Rebecca Walker." She smiles. "Well, I guess I'll see you around Rebecca Walker." I smile back. "I guess you will, Kaelyn Manday." I walk to the elevator and press the button to give down and meet up with Jenny.
