After a long while of Netflix watching and many crying sessions, there's a knock on the door. I open the door to see Jenny. "Hi! Why weren't you at school?"

"I'm not feeling that well I guess. Why is school over already?" She nods.

"Becca who's shirt is that?" I turn red wiping the dry tears off my face. "Oh my god Becca who crashed here? Was it L?" I laugh. "Yeah. We're actually a thing now." "Oh yeah? I saw that coming."

I sigh and shut the door, sitting on the couch. "Have you been crying?" I shake my head no with a sniffle. "Liar. What's wrong?"

"Well something happened last night and he got hurt so I let him crash here." She smiles. "Im glad you're happy. But you know if  he hurts you im going to rip him apart piece by-" "That's enough Jen. I wasn't done." She apologizes.

"Anyway he had a meeting for work this morning but he was limping and I didn't want it to get worse so I told him not to go. But we got into an argument and he went anyway." Jenny frowns. I'm really sorry Bec," I exhale with dejection. "He'll get over. And so will you."

I smile and nod. "Now get your lazy butt up, and get dressed. We're going out." I laugh. "Oh really?" She nods. "Now come on!" I get up and I head into my closet. Tank tops, crop tops, tube tops, and a hoodie addiction. "Don't you dare think about grabbing a hoodie and leggings." I giggle and look through. "Fine pick for me." I close my eyes and have her pick for me.

"Okay, done!" I open my eyes and turn around to see a a black cropped tank top with a pair of ripped denim shorts and my white vans. "You know I could've picked this out right?" I say getting dressed. "I know but I just felt like picking it. You know?" I nod pulling my shoes on. I grab my phone and my keys and walk out and lock it.

"I really needed this so thanks Jen." She nods. "Of course. Don't we have a party to go to soon?" I sigh rememberimg Amy's party is Saturday. "Yeah I guess." She smiles. "So we absolutely HAVE to go get dresses for it! Gotta look sexy right?" I roll my eyes and laugh. "If you so say Jen."

I get in her Jeep and I shut the door and put on my seatbelt. She gets in and she starts the car and we drive off. "So how did he do it?"

"Hmm?" "Ask you out!" I laugh. "It was pretty simple to be honest. But romantic." She makes an 'ooh' sound with her mouth. I rolled my eyes and giggled.

We finally reached the mall and went inside. We walk into one of the malls boutiques full of homecoming, prom, and other kinds of partying dresses. We look around and Jenny drags me around aisle through aisle.

"Becky look at this one!" It was quite tight, but beautiful blue sequined dress. There was a slit on each side, and a perfect cut v-neck at the top. "You have to try it on!" I nod yes and hold on to it. I spot another one on a different rack and pick it up. It was a elegant green, mid thigh, and a spaghetti strap. Jenny walks over with multiple dresses hanging over her arm and drops her jaw. "That's gorgeous!" I smile. She picks out a few more for me such as a Ruby red sequined dress, and a baby pink dress.

After Jenny taking forever, we finally head to the dressing rooms and head into the big stall so we can share.

I try on them all but all I could find I looked good in was the green. "It really is perfect, Bec." I grin. "I think so too." She smiles. "No, I know so." I laugh and I take off the dress to pit my clothes back on. The dress Jenny decided to go with was a short, black haltered flowy dress.

We head to the registers and check out. On our way out, all I could see was someone familiar. I don't know from where, but it looks like I may have known her when I was younger. I stare at her for what feels like forever until I feel I yank on my arm. "Come on its getting late! My mom will freak if I'm not at your house or my house by dark!" I let her pull me along, but still staring at the lady.

As we fight I she'd walking out the lady turns around and looks at me. I feel some sort of strong connection to the lady as Jenny drags me into the car. "What the hell Becca did you see a ghost or something?"

"Sort of?" She raises an eyebrow. "Oh my god then go! Hurry back in! Go!" We run inside and loom for her but she's nowhere in sight. "Jen it's no use she's not here. She obviously wants nothing to do with me." I tear up and head back into the Jeep. I put my face in my hands as Jenny drives back to the hotel in silence.

We finally get to the hotel and we head up to my room, my face as red as a strawberry. I open my room door and see candles lit everywhere and rose petals on the floor. "Are you sure you want to stay?" I whisper. "It's fine, I'll just go to Kaelyns." I nod as she quietly leaves. I put my dress bag down on the dining table and I follow the petals.

The petals leave up to my bedroom door, which is shut. I wipe my face which is still red and open the door with a smile. But as so as I open the door all the way, my jaw drops and my smile  quickly fades away. It wasn't the person I'd hoped it to be.
