After an hour or so, he finally wakes up. "Fuck!" He says lifting his head up quickly then confusingly looking around. "Becca?" He says turning around. "It's okay. I promise." He tries getting up but limps. "We have school in the morning." I sigh. "Screw it. I'd rather get you full back to health than go there."

I get up and go in my room and go into my dresser. I pull out a hoodie and take my jeans off and throw the hoodie on. I hop into my bed and then Netflix on.

After a few minutes the door opens and L walks in. He's in a pair of basketball shorts but shirtless. "Mind if I sleep in here?" I shake my head no. He hops onto the other side of the queen bed and gets under the covers.

After a while of watching Netflix, I start to get sleepy and roll over to L. He wraps his arm around me and I snuggle up against him. His touch is gentle, and soft. "Goodnight princess." He says rubbing his thumb on my hurt shoulder. "Goodnight L." I smile.

*the next morning*

It's the next morning and L still has his arm wrapped around me. I move it carefully and I head into the kitchen to make some scrambled eggs quietly while he sleeps. I check my phone and notice it's 9:48 and we were supposed to be in school almost three hours ago.

I yawn and finish up the eggs and bring them into my room. "Good morning," I say to L. He wipes his face and sits up. He yawns and sits up. "Morning princess"

I put the plate of eggs in front of he and he smiles. He eats it while I turn Netflix on. "What are we watching?" I ask. "Something scary I guess." I turn on some random horror movie and lay down on L's chest. "If only we could do this everyday." He says. I laugh. "I know."

I take his plate and put it in the kitchen and go back in to lay back down.

I lay down and cuddle into his chest as hey lays his head on my shoulder. "Can I say something?" He says. I nod yes. "You know all of your friends are right?" I raise an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Rebecca Walker, you know exactly what I mean." He says looking me in the eye, smirking. I don't exactly know what he means until he leans in and kisses me. His lips were soft, tasted like fresh, sweet strawberries just picked. He wrapped his hand around my cheek, and I put my arms behind his neck.

After a minute we let go and my face was red. "So?"

"So... What?" He smirks. "So what? Are we dating now or not?" I smile. "Yes."

I've never really realized that I had such strong feelings for him. Maybe it was the fact I tried to ignore it. I've never liked a guy so much like L, there's something about him. Whether it's the cliche bad boy vibe or the fact that he is plausibly attractive.

Maybe it was the fact that I was so caught up in what was going on with Tyler or Zach. Or the fact that Jenny and Trent are such a cute couple. Or focusing too much on my dad.

I continue to watch the movie with him, eating some random food I found in the pantry. I lay my head down on his shoulder as he rests.

After a while, the movie is almost over and I can tell L dozed off already. I shut the movie off and pull out the bed portion of the couch so he's comfortable. I prop him up on some pillows and I get him a blanket and cover him up. I go into my room and get a sticky note and a pen and write:

"Dear L,

If you wake up and I'm not here it's because I'm out running errands for groceries and other things. I'll see you later.

xx,

Princess"

I take my keys and I quietly exit my room. I walk down the hallway and bump into someone. "I'm so sorry," The lady looked familiar. "Do you know a young lady living here named Kaelyn Manday? I need to talk to her and bring her home. I've been trying to find her room number but the lady at the front desk won't tell me for privacy reasons." After a minute, I realize that this lady was her mother. The mother she hated, the one she never wanted to speak to again, and I'm glad Helda kept her out of it not telling her anything.

"No, sorry, if Helda didn't say anything, I'm not going to." Her mother sighs. "Very well. I'll just knock on every door until she answers." I raise an eyebrow. "You know that she's probably at school right? It's school hours." She then raises an eyebrow. "Then why aren't you?"

"I had a bad injury. I was told to stay home until I got better. Now if you excuse me, I must go. Nice chatting with you." I walk away and I walk into the elevator and close it. I head into the parking lot of the hotel and I turn on my music so I can start walking to the grocery store with no disturbances.

I finally get there and pick up all of the things I need. Milk, eggs, I pick up some snacks for L and I to share, flour, and other things needed for the apartment. I get in the checkout line and from a distance I see a teacher from my school I had in my sophomore year. I scan my items really quickly and grab my stuff and go. I walk off and I head back to the hotel.

I hear a car driving by and not surprised, it's my former teacher, Ms. Kulm. "Hey dear! Aren't you supposed to be in school?" I nod. "Yeah but I found my mom."

She smiles. "That's fantastic Rebecca!" I nod. "Anyway, I must get going. Cya later!"

I quickly keep walking and soon enough I arrive. I walk in the lobby and wave to Helda and walk to the elevator. I head up to my floor and open the door to see L lying on the floor. "L what happened!" I say running to him dropping the groceries. "I went to get up and use the bathroom mk but my foot slipped and I fell and I couldn't get back up. I'm weak Bec and I have a meeting with Z and other guys in about an hour. I need to get ready so I-" "You're not going anywhere L. Look at the condition you're in. You can barely walk."

"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." I sigh. "No you won't be your-" "I'M GOING AND THAT'S FINAL." He yells as he gets himself off the ground limping towards the door leaving his stuff here.

I cry as he slams the door. I try and I try and I try and nothing ever works.  Sometimes I wonder if he's still the same person as when I met him.

I turn on a Netflix movie and throw on one of his t-shirts and some fuzzy socks with my ramen and a comfy blanket. I get a box of tissues and a grocery bag to cry into.
