Chapter 41

Demi's POV

"Mama can I come sleep with you I can't sleep properly," Sky whispered standing at my bedroom door with her favourite teddy bear that Naya had gotten her.

"Of course baby girl come here,"

I moved over a bit and Sky hopped in snuggling into my body, "Why couldn't you sleep princess?"

"Because I miss mommy a lot and I just want her back," Sky said and I could tell by her voice that she was crying.

"I know princess I miss her a lot too,"

"Can I tell you something mama?"

"Of course anything,"

"The last thing she said to me was that she loves me lots and lots and for me too never forget that and no matter where she is to always remember that she will be by my side and yours in a way that we won't understand,"

This didn't make sense why would she say that? Did she know she was going to die? Or is there something more to all of this?

Picking up my phone I texted Mar to come over straight away and next thing I knew there was a knock on the door.

"What happened?" Mar asked instantly rushing me into a hug.

"She told Sky that she loved her lots and no matter what happened to remember she would be by her side in a way we wouldn't understand,"

Mar's face suddenly changed into a quizzical look, "What if there's more to this than meets the eye?"

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"What if she's not dead?"

Is she crazy? Is she seriously saying this?

"What the hell!" I snapped.

"Demi calm down I'm just saying it could be true,"

"It can't be she would never ever leave Sky or me especially not after everything we've been through,"

"Demi you never know,"

"No stop!" I yelled running my fingers through my hair.

"It can't be possible I saw her get hit," I whispered as tears rolled down my cheeks.

Pulling me into a hug Mar squeezed me as more tears came out and I started screaming uncontrollably.

"Mama," I heard a little voice say and I saw Sky standing there with red, puffy eyes and I remembered that I have to stay strong for Sky, my baby girl.

"Sorry that you had to see that princess," I spoke softly.

"I want momma," she cried running into both mine and Mar's arms.

I looked at Mar during the hug and she nodded, maybe she isn't dead... Maybe there is more that we don't know..
