Demi's POV

We arrived back home and I rushed Naya to the bathroom to get her all cleaned up. I took off whatever she had left along with my clothes and went into the shower with her.

I carefully soaped her body all over, I ran my fingers over the cuts, scars and bruises that have been left and I couldn't help but start crying at the sight.

She turned around to face me and I looked at her angelic face and another wave of tears left me and even though it should've been me holding her she was doing that for me.

"It's okay baby," she whispered and I shook my head, "Look what they did to you," I said.

"It's okay because I know that you, Sky and everybody else is safe," she said assuringly but her words wouldn't and couldn't make me feel better.

Then her lips that I had longed for and missed ever so dearly were finally planted on mine, a long kiss, no tongue just sweet and simple, just enough to show the love, emotion and emptiness we both felt.

"I love you," I whispered, "I love you too," she responded.

I continued to wash her beautiful body and once we were done I wrapped the towel around her and made sure she was nice and warm. I got out the first aid kit and started cleaning out her cuts and bandaging all of them along with her scars.

"Are you still in pain?" I asked and she nodded.

"Oh baby how can I fix this!" I said and she took hold of my hands and placed her hand on my cheek rubbing it up and down, "Love me and stay by me that's how you fix it,"

I picked her up bridal style and carried her to Sky's bedroom where we saw our princess fast asleep with my mom and dad on the floor next to her.

"Do you want to wake her up?" I asked Naya and she shook her head, "Let her get some sleep same with your parents,"

We continued to our bedroom and I carefully placed her on the bed. I removed her towel and got out one of my long t-shirts and my sweatpants and helped her to put them on.

I took off my towel and as I went to go and change I heard quiet sobs coming from Naya and I quickly rushed to her side and held her into my bare chest.

"Shh baby, you're safe now, I'm never going to let anything happen to you,"

"She threatened to kill all of you if I didn't follow her instructions," she sobbed and now I had a clearer understanding of what was behind all of this and why it happened.

Naya was trying to protect us.

"Baby why didn't you tell me though without Heather knowing?"

"I couldn't tell you, she didn't give me enough time too,"

"Oh my beautiful wife," I whispered squeezing her tighter, scared that I will lose her again.

We sat this way for hours until finally we both fell into a deep and needed sleep.

Naya's POV

I woke up in a panic, sweat dripping down my face and my breathing quite uneasy.

I remembered the cause of all this, the nightmare. I kept remembering the sleepless nights I had, the torturous assaults and the many beatings and more I was given. That stuff is something that will never leave me and will follow me for the rest of my life. I mean how could somebody get over such a thing? How? Is it even possible?

"Mommy!" I heard my little girl call.

I held my arms out and she ran straight into them squeezing me so tightly as I reciprocated.

"My princess, I've missed you so much!" I said as tears started to fall down my cheek.

"I've missed you too mommy so much!"

We continued in that position until I pulled her on to the bed with the now awake Demi and I.

"How are you princess?" I asked and she smiled that adorable toothless grin.

"I'm good mommy and you?"

"I'm okay Sky," I smiled rustling her hair.

"It's my birthday tomorrow!" she excitedly said and I had completely forgotten.

"Yes it is Sky and we have something fun planned for you," Demi said stepping in.

"Can you tell me!" she exclaimed and we both shook our heads laughing, "You have to wait and see,".

"I'm going to go tell grandpa and grandma!" she exclaimed running out of the room.

I looked at Demi with a questioning look, "What do you have planned exactly?"

"I booked the ice rink at Central Park for the whole day and we're all going," she said and I smiled at how amazing she is, "Thankyou,".

"She's our daughter baby, you know that," I said kissing her.

We laid in bed, cuddling each other which is something that has been long needed. Oh how I've missed her and Sky and everyone.

"What happened there?" Demi asked and I knew this question would come up.

"What do you think?" I snapped, apologising straight away.

"They hurt me all the time, if I cried it would be worse, I didn't eat nor drink anything for days,"

Demi shook her head, "I can't believe her, all of them," she said anger dripping from her voice.

"They're gone now," I whispered and Demi's eyes darted up to me, "I killed her, I know,"

"Nobody's going to hurt you again, do you hear me, I promise," Demi said sternly.

I nodded into her chest, not wanting to leave her ever again.
