Chapter 10

Demi's POV

Today Naya had to work all day so it was just Sky and I. I was a bit nervous but after last night and how she called me mama I know everything will be alright

"Mama can we have some ice cream please," Sky begged me

"Of course princess,"

I put a jacket on us nth and off we went to get some ice cream

"Mama can I have chocolate?" she asked

"Yeah of course,"

"Can I please have one chocolate ice cream?" I asked the ice cream man

He nodded his head and went out the back and once he had finished he came back and handed it to us

"How about we go sit in Central Park?" I suggested and Sky nodded licking away at her ice cream

I really want to get to know Sky, all her interest and hobbies all that and I'm hoping to do some of that today. Obviously it's hard to when I've missed six years of her life but I'll do anything it takes to catch up on all of it

"What's your favourite colour?" I asked her

"Umm purple and blue," she answered

"Favourite movie?"

"Princess Protection Program, Frozen and Grown Ups,"

"Isn't Grown Ups a bit rude missy," I said tickling her sides

"Hahahaha stop nooo mummy and I love that movie it's so funny," she said between breaths

"Alright what's your favourite sport?"

"I like dancing and singing,"

"Really can you sing and dance for me when we get home?"

She got really shy and started blushing but she nodded her head

"Princess you don't have to get shy I'm your mama I know it's weird cause we just met but you will get used to it,"

"It's not weird I just haven't sung or danced in front of anyone,"

"Why?"

"I don't know, I haven't really told anyone and nobody really asked," she said looking at the ground

"What about mommy?" I asked

"She's always been really busy or upset,"

I nodded my head and left the conversation there. Naya was that upset that she basically ignored her child... Didn't she see how much it hurt Sky especially since Naya was all Sky had until I came into the picture

*Text Message*

-We need to talk after work

N- Is everything alright, I'm worried now

- We'll talk later

N- Ok love you

- Love you too

*End Text Message*

"How about your favourite food?" I asked her taking her out of her thoughts

"PASTA!" she yelled with a big smile on her face

"Yum," I said

"Hey mama can we go home now?"

"Yeah let's go,"

We walked back home and Sky reached for my hand and took hold of it. This made me feel so happy, I know it was a small gesture but it was enough to warm my heart and make me feel special

We arrived home and Sky went to get changed into her pyjamas while I waited in the lounge room

About ten minutes later she's runs into the room with her cute purple pyjamas with love hearts on

"You look so cute," I said picking her up into a hug

"I love you mama,"

A huge smile appeared on my face and I pulled her even closer to me

"I love you too princess," I said kissing her cheek
