Chapter 20

Naya's POV

Sky, Dems and I were walking to my dads restaurant hand in hand. I was really nervous about this and I knew Demi could tell

"Baby calm down it'll be alright," she whispered in my ear

"I'm scared," I admitted

"Your scared wow, this is a first," she said jokingly as I playfully slapped her arm

"I've been scared before," I poked my tongue out

"Love you," she winked and before I knew it we has arrived

We walked in to be greeted by my dad and his partner Steve

"Hello girls how are you both?" Dad asked

"Were good and you two?" Dems asked

"Very good now who's this little girl?" Dad asked looking down at Sky and she was smiling her big toothless smile since she lost her two front teeth

"Sky and she's our daughter," I said proudly

A big smile spread across both my dad and Steve's face

"Well how about us two go hang four in the back and we leave your mommys to talk?" Steve asked Sky extending a hand to her

Sky looked up to me and I nodded my head as her and Steve went through to the back

"Here come this way," Dad escorted Dems and I to a table and we all sat down

"So where do we begin?" He said

"You start," I said

"Well it all started when you were about 14 I had met Steve and I knew I was gay before that but my parents had made me go to church and get help to cure it and I guess I thought it was but when I met Steve, I fell in love," he wiped away a tear that was falling and I grabbed his hand holding it tightly fearing that he will leave again if I let go

"Well we took it slow obviously cause I was married with a family but then he said either you tell the truth or were done and I chose to keep it hidden but then when you came out, I felt that I couldn't hide it anymore and I ran off and lived my life with Steve,"

Mixed emotions were running through me I was I angry yet so sad..

"Baba?" he asked holding my hand

I haven't heard that in a long time and as expected tears flowed down my face

"I've never seen this new Naya before with emotions," he joked which actually put a light smile on my face

"We've all changed," I softly spoke

Demi kissed my forehead lightly giving me reassurance that she's still there and no matter what happens she will always be there

"I don't expect you to open me into your life with arms wide open but I would like to fix our relationship no matter how long it takes,"

"I agree," I said smiling

"Thankyou," he said smiling

*After dinner*

Demi's POV

Seeing Naya upset tonight broke my heart but then when I saw her smile those few times it made me happy. I'm glad she chose to slowly accept her dad back into her life because I knew that would make her feel a bit more whole

"Baby you ok?" I asked her as we laid down in bed

"I'm better," she smiled

"Man your dad is right your very emotional what happened to Snix?" I said referring back to the glee days

She chuckled and playfully hit me

"You bitch," I said

"You love me," she said kissing me on the lips

We laid there in silence for a bit before I had an idea

"How about tomorrow we take Sky ice skating and then we go see a movie or something?" I suggested

"That's great baby,"

"You know I'm glad your spending more time with her, she really loves you, even though she doesn't know you that long," Naya said

"She is my daughter after all," I smiled

"I know and as she's growing older she's starting to look like you baby,"

"Mmm," I smiled remembering the first time I had met her at the restaurant

It's funny, the way life works. I was taken away from this girl all these years and suddenly I find her, just like out of nowhere and god am I bloody thankful

Sky and Naya are the best things to ever happen to me and I can't wait to make Naya my wife and be a better mother to Sky
