Chapter 42

Demi's POV

"Mar we need to talk about it," I said and she nodded.

"What do you think?" she asked and I shrugged, "I have no idea,"

"Are you sure you saw her get hit?" Mar asked and I nodded positively as the memory kept running through my head.

"Was there anybody else around at the time?"

"I don't know how would I know when all I could focus on was my wife being hit and killed!" I yelled at her and instantly I felt bad, it wasn't Mar's fault this whole situation is just confusing and what if it's just nothing.

"Sorry," I mumbled and Mar nodded.

"This is why she called for backup," I heard from the door and seeing Dianna and Lea standing there, I smiled and ran up to them.

"I've missed you guys,"

"We have to babe," Dianna said.

"Now, Mar has informed us on everything," Lea started and I nodded sitting down on my bed once again.

"Do you think she really, really did die?" Dianna asked treading carefully.

"I don't know," I said because really I didn't know, it's not everyday that you see your wife die in front of your eyes to then find out that is was all a possible lie.

"Heather," Mar said and all heads turned her direction as the pieces seemed to all fit.

I was shaking my head at this even though I knew deep down if all this is true and Naya didn't die that she would be the one to have done such a thing.

"Take me to her now!" I growled.

"Demi we can't do that, we need to investigate more," Dianna said.

"I don't give a shit!" I yelled.

"Stop Demi, just stop!" Mar yelled.

Not saying a word I walked out of the room.

Walking into the kitchen I saw Sky sitting on a stool eating pancakes," Princess who got you those?" I asked my seven year old daughter.

"No body I made them," she said proudly smiling at me with two of her front teeth missing which made her look even more adorable.

"You did them?" I questioned and she nodded.

"Oh my god princess where did you learn to make them?"

"On the internet I looked it up,"

"Wait did you burn yourself on the pan or anything?" I asked examining her body, "No mama I didn't," she giggled and I let out a sigh of relief.

"Well since you didn't burn yourself or anything and they look delicious I'm very proud of you," I said hugging her.

"Mama somebody called earlier," Sly said and surprisingly I didn't even hear it ringing, "Who was it?"

"It was a girl named Heather and she said she had something that we wanted I think," Sky explained.

My heart started beating faster than its normal pace and my breathing rapidly changing, "Get in here now!" I yelled.

Moments later the girls had run in and once they saw the look on my face they knew something horrible had just occurred.

"Demi what happened?" Mar asked.

"Heather called saying she has something that we want," I told them and that's when I knew that my wife wasn't dead.

Sorry took so long but I've also written the next chapter which is coming out today as well just a bit later on!!
