A/N Thanks to @Dreams_07 for the name Pearl.

The dragon stood and walked towards us. Bao's lip quivered and she fell to her knees.

"You're a light dragon, aren't you? Oh, it's an honour."

"Pearl. My name is Pearl."

I bowed my head and stepped up to her. "Pearl? Please explain to me... Just, explain this." I waved my arm around, pointing to the other dragons, the people, the roof, everything. "And, please, what is the Dragon's Lair?"

"First, I'll tell you about the Connection. This is a strange thing. No matter how many animals you summon, only one type will ever bring up a Connection."

"Dragons."

"Correct. So, you help each other. You are Connected. Certain things make the Connection... React. The pain you felt earlier was from your dragons being harmed, which I am so very sorry about. Yuan," she beckoned to the blonde lady, "was trying to stop them from hurting your friends." She then turned to the younger girl, the one who had brought us here. "Tao, please get something to stem the blood flow." She nodded and ran off into the shadows at the back of the room which probably lead to another.

"As for the Dragon's Lair... That is something entirely different. Can you tell me what you saw in that room? In the Dragon's Lair?"

"Don't you know?"

"I do. But I want to see if you can figure out on our own what's going to happen."

"Okay. So, I thought it was just going to be a little room, then I looked on and it was this massive underground room. There were thousands of..." I looked up and whispered, "Dragon statues."

"You understand now, don't you?"

"You're going to build an army."

She put a paw on my shoulder and smiled. "We are, Ming. We are."

Tao came running back with some cloths. She wrapped them around Ai's and Chang's legs, then unchained them. As she did, he man yelled out hurried orders.

"Everyone, prepare everything you have. Assemble above ground. Send word of this to every Changer in China! Tell them where to meet, then we summon the Emperor."

I ran up to the man. "Sir?"

"Yes?" He asked, his voice kind.

"They have a dark dragon."

The room fell silent.

"A dark dragon?"

"Yes. Yes, we have reason to believe that they have a dark dragon. We had just been found by some of the guards, and were running from them when a dark dragon flew overhead."

He clapped his hand on my shoulder. "Pray they only have one."
