Chapter 21: Step One

Y/N's POV

Me, Nixium and Aster were inside Ms. Goodwitch's combat classroom, with me on standing on the side while my cousin is across from the both of us are holding the two swords that activates our semblance, me holding Dark and her holding Light. Aster is outside of the battle stage and observing us.

"If you want your semblance to work properly, then you have to focus on both the swords then imagine it as if it's a part of you. Try doing it right now." He said to us.

"Right." Me and Nixium both said.

I slowly breathe in then out, gripping on Dark. I allow myself to think that the sword in my hands is a part of me. Feeling my aura flow around me including my sword, I began to feel excited but maintained my focus.

"Good, now that the first step is finished, we should go for the next one. Relax your body but keep the aura flowing around you and the sword." He said.

I did what he said so and maintain my focus. At this point, my body feels lighter.

"Excellent! Now, focus on your aura and activate it at the same time. Count in three seconds starting from..... now!"

My thoughts counted the numbers, and soon I could feel great power coming from me. Then I could see purple aura emitting around me, I look at Nixium and saw her with the same aura emitting from her as well only hers is yellow. What I didn't know while we're in the progress of activating our semblance, my body began to feel weak and I suddenly lost focus and fell on the floor, tired.

"This is so hard..." I said.

"I guess that's all for now, you can stop now Nixium." Aster said to her.

"Okay." She calmly said and deactivated her semblance, the aura flowing around her soon disappeared.

"We still have lots of spare time, how about a spar?" Aster asked.

"I'm tired." I said still sitting on the floor.

"Nah, I'm too lazy..." Nixium said walking passed him.

"Now where do you think you're going?" Aster then pulls Nixium by the collar of her outfit and lift her.

"Let... go of me....." She said in a raspy voice.

"Is something wrong with you that you're speaking like that?" Aster questioned as he remains lifting her.

"Uhh, Aster? I think you're choking her that's why." I said pointing at her.

"Eh?" He looks at me and back at Nixium to see her face turning purple.

Aster immediately drops her as Nixium coughs and breathes for air. After that she slowly stands up with her face covered by the shadow of her hair.

"I think you should start running now. You'll survive in that option." I said.

"Good idea.... Thanks." He said as he starts to back away from her then run out of the room afterwards.

"I'm not done with you yet!!!" Nixium yells as she runs after Aster.

"Well she'll never change." I said to myself.

I stand up from the floor then grab Dark and head outside as well. I was walking pass by any students until I could see team RWBY in the distance. Weiss noticed me and waved at me with a smile, I waved as well and then I remember.

"We're dating now.... I guess I should start acting like her boyfriend now." I mumbled.

I stopped on my tracks and look around, searching for where Aster and Nixium are. Then a bit later I could hear quick faint footsteps in the distance. It gets louder and louder then from far away, I could see some students sticking against the wall avoiding Aster and Nixium. Dust clouds were behind them as they run and suddenly they are going towards me.
