Chapter 35: Upgrade

Some students who came from their missions immediately arrived at the place where the Grimm horde was going around destroying the property of Vale. Everywhere is a mess, some buildings are wrecked and the debris can be seen scattered around. The citizens are evacuating as the huntsmen protect them,

Team JNPR had arrived just in time and went to assist team RWBY and the rest of the young huntsmen. As for Y/N and his team, they are on their way to where they are to help as well. The form that he just had from his semblance is still there.

"So this is what I look like when I finally mastered the semblance." He said as he observe himself.

"Well yes, but no. You may have been able to transform, but do remember that you are still unable to fully use it properly." Aster said to him.

"Got that, but what I know is that mastering how to use this properly will be a piece of cake." He said determinedly.

"I'm jealous... he gets to transform now while I still have to wait for the right time." Their white haired teammate pouted.

"Don't worry Nixium, you'll be able to transform soon." Aster placed his hand on her head and began rubbing it.

Nixium immediately swatted his hand away from her and glared at him. This made Aster step back and sweat.

"Don't you dare lay a hand on my head. This is a warning." She said.

"Okay then." Aster just turned around and didn't said another word.

"How much longer are we gonna wait before we get there?" Y/N asked the pilot.

"We'll be there in approximately ten minutes. Just wait a little longer." The pilot responded.

"We gotta hurry and stop those Grimm immediately before they hurt more of the citizens." Y/N stated.

"The question is. How the Grimm were even in town causing havoc in the first place?" Nixium asked.

"We'll never know unless we asked the people who were there before they arrive." He said to his cousin.

About a few minutes later, they finally arrived at their destination. The three of them saw the current state of the town. Y/N, who was still in his angel form jumps down from the bullhead.

"Y/N why did you freaking jump?!" Nixium yelled.

"Don't worry about me!! I'll practice using these wings!" He yelled as he spread his wings.

He began thinking on how to control the wings properly, he doesn't have much time so he hastily tried moving it. He later saw that he was about to crash the ground so he immediately closed his eyes shut and began moving his wings. Seconds later, he slowly opens his eyes and saw that he is safely sitting on the ground. This made him sigh in relief and stand up, now running towards a Grimm with Light in his hands.

The Beowulf that was busy wrecking the place, noticed his presence and look at the direction where he is. It let out a roar before it starts to charge at him. His sword collided with its paw, which it led to it being cut off. The Grimm let out an agonized roar before it's about to land its other paw at him.

Y/N jumps back, avoiding the attack and hastily runs behind it then jumped on its back, he then proceeds to stab it by the head with sword. Some other Grimm arrived and were all about to attack him simultaneously. But good thing his teammates arrive and are there to his aid.

"You're lucky we got here a bit early. Or else you would've already been sliced to pieces." Nixium said to her cousin.

"Thanks for the help!" He said happily and leaps towards the Grimm.

"Are you kidding me?! Stop acting so reckless!" Aster tells at him.

"I'll be fine! Just watch! Thanks to this semblance my job has become way more easier!" He said and suddenly lands on one of the Ursa before slicing it's head off.

He jumps off and let the corpse turn into smoke while continuing to slay all of the Grimm that are in his sight, with the help of Aster and Nixium of course. He eventually had grown tired along with his cousin due to their aura gradually draining, to which he has transformed back to his normal self.

"I can still keep up. Let's go help the others." Y/N said as he runs towards a certain direction.

They later arrived at where team CFVY and JNPR are. The eight of them noticed their presence and smiled, a Nevermore has landed in front of them which made them gaze at it. It let out an ear piercing screech which made Nixium cover her ears.

"That darn chirp of yours is annoying!" She yelled and dashed towards it with Dark.

Slowly, black and purple aura began to surround until she was fully covered by it while still moving. When she got a bit closer, the auras disperse and it revealed Nixium, who now has black wings on her back with both of her eyes red. She was now on the Nevermore's head and it tried to get her off by shaking its head, but it was no avail. Nixium then pulls her right hand back and a purple flame had appeared around it. She then lands the blow at the Grimm and looses her grip which made it get sent back towards a destroyed building. The other ten people saw this and were utterly shocked and surprised.

Y/N closed his eyes and took a deep breath, he focus all of his energy and suddenly he had transformed back into his angelic form. He called for his cousin and nodded at her, she nodded back and the two of them ran to another place. Leaving Aster, Teams JNPR and CFVY.

"Is that-" Aster didn't let Velvet finish her sentence.

"Yes, that is their semblance. I'm surprised that they were both able to transform in one day." He said.

"That's pretty cool, but we should go back to taking care of all of these Grimm." Nora stated as they look around to see more Grimm surrounding them.

"It might be nice to at least have some fun." Aster said as he draws his two daggers.

"Speaking of which, I haven't seen you fight yet. I guess this is the perfect time to see how you do." Pyrrha said.

"Now that you mentioned it, you're right. Welp, watch and learn from your boyfriend's trainer!" He said and began running towards one of the Death Stalkers.

"They've finally did it, Sarah." The man said happily as he looks out at the window.

"What is it, dear?" Sarah looks at him curiously.

"Our kids finally did it, they've finally achieved their first goal. I'm so proud of them." He said with a smile as he turns back to his wife.

She then found out what he was talking about and smiled. Humming in response, Sarah gazes at the picture that was in a picture frame.

"I'm sure that Nigel and Alice will be proud of her. And we're definitely proud of him." She said.

"I can't wait to give them my big ol' hug when we visit them soon." He said.

"Our little heroes had grown up. I wanna give them a hug right now." Sarah began to tear up.

"Not right now dear. Save your tears for later. You might need it." He joked.

"Shush dear! Let me have my sweet moment." She said.

"Okay then, I should go and get some tea for us." He said as he exits the room they are in.
