Chapter 22: Reverse Omen

Aster's POV

I appear in some kind of a burning village, screams filled my ears as they run away from the area. For some reason, I couldn't smell the smoke nor can feel anything right now as if I'm a ghost. Thinking of why I am here, this must be a dream, a really odd one. I decided to walk around for a quick second to observe the area, everywhere I go people are running and screaming then I stand in front of two children. One is a girl and the other a boy, the two of them seem familiar.

The girl was lying on the ground unconscious and has a wound on her forehead that blood was falling across her face. And as for the other one, he was just sitting there looking in the distance. This made me confused and think why is he just sitting there not doing anything, I followed his gaze and then soon saw where is he looking, in the distance, a mysterious tall person in black looks at them before turning around and walking away.

His face has wounds and bloodied as well. Out of nowhere, Grimm began to appear and surround them. I began to feel nervous on what is going to happen, the boy seem calmed about this situation. He gaze at the girl and at the Grimm with a frown, he stands up and almost fell over so I assumed that he must be injured by the leg though it's not really severe. He runs towards one of the Grimm while it roared and the other run towards him as well.

Then something began to appear by his hand, the dark light surrounds his hands as he runs then it soon formed into a monochromatic sword. Which is awfully familiar, he then sliced the Grimm causing it to form in black smoke. Purple aura radiates from him as he continue to attack the Grimm. He got attacked by one but was all right though it led him to feel pain.

As he continue this, the Grimm had already been defeated. He let's go of the sword and falls on the ground. He fell on his hands and knees and started panting, slowly he lay down on the ground and began coughing. I look at the girl and saw another sword beside her, some huntsmen then came and rescued them along with the swords.

My vision became blurry then I black out.

I open my eyes and sit up from my bed, rubbing my eyes for a second then looking around to see I'm in our dorm. I look at the other two to see the both of them still sound asleep. The dream made me think of those two children, they look familiar to me. I first look at the the two then thought of the kids' faces. My eyes widen in realization.

"(Could it be? I wonder why did I dreamed of them.)"

Y/N then began waking up and yawned. He looks around then at me.

"Oh, I guess I'm not the only one." He said.

He stands up from his bed and do some stretching.

"Hey Aster." He said.

"What?" I look at him.

"Will we train later?"

"Probably, how about we train now. It's almost six at the moment, you should wake the cat now." I said standing up and head to the bathroom to take a shower along with a towel and my clothes.

While I'm taking a shower, I began to think of the dream I just had right now. If it's really Nixium and Y/N are the ones that I saw there, then why are they there in the first place. And those swords that I saw, there's no doubt that the event caused them to unlock their semblance.

"(I should question them about it..... Maybe they don't want to bring that up so it's probably best to not to.)"

After taking a shower, I dried myself up first before wearing my clothes in there. I came out drying my hair and Y/N was next to take a shower. I look at Nixium who was sitting on her bed still in her sleeping attire. She is holding light while staring at it, she holds it up then placed it down beside her.

"Hey Nixium." I called for her.

"Hm?" She looks at me.

"Er.... nothing." I said.

"Is there something wrong?" She asked.

"No, sorry I just lost what I am going to say just now." I said chuckling awkwardly.

"You sure act wierd today. I'm going to prepare my outfit while I wait for Y/N." She then began searching for her clothes.

I placed my towel back to where I got it and decided to come out of the dorm with my weapons. Walking around, not a single person was out but me. I guess they are all still asleep. Might as well head to Goodwitch's combat class and wait for the two.

"Hey Y/N." Nixium called for me.

"What it is?" I said while we're walking in the halls.

"I noticed Aster is acting oddly just a while ago. Do you know what happened to him?" she asked.

"No, but I'm sure he's all right. We should hurry and get to the class now while it's still early." I said.

"I need a donut..." She said.

"You can get one later." I said.

"Hmph, fine...."

When we got into the class, we began out training and after that the three of us head to class. Like always, it is boring but I was able to learn a few stuff. Finally lunch time, my team and I walk towards the cafeteria and line up. After we got our food, we look around for a vacant table and found out. We sat down and began to eat, today was rather a normal day than the past few days. While eating, I was interrupted by someone covering my eyes with their hands.

"Guess who?!" Nora's voice occurred.

"It's you Nora, now you can let go now." I said and she did.

Team JNPR sat with us and talked about stuff. I wasn't really paying attention to them and just eat, I then noticed Aster who's deep in thought. Sighing, I finished my food and stand up from my seat then walk away.

"Where are you going Y/N?" Pyrrha asked.

"Oh I'm just gonna go for a walk." I said.

"Can I come with you?!" Nora immediately latches on my arm.

"Uh, sure. If you say so." I said.

"Yes!" She said.

The two of us walk out of the cafeteria and in the halls. We pass by some students who are minding their own business. I look at Nora and saw her happily humming a tune with a smile. This causes me to smile as well and chuckle.

"What's wrong? Something funny?" She asked.

"No, it's just that I think you're cute when you smile like that." I said.

When she heard of this, she blushed. She looks away from me while still having that blush.

"I-I'm sorry I said that! But it's true though!" I said embarrassed.

"N-no! It's okay! It's just, I'm not used to you saying that." She said pressing her index fingers together.

"I see.....(Well this is awkward)"

"Hey Y/N..... I've been meaning to tell you this that......" Nora stopped.

I look at her waiting for her to speak. She looks at me blushing, Nora then breathes in then.

"I like you! Please go out with me!" She yelled.

Everyone around us who heard of this all look at us including my team, RWBY and the rest of JNPR who I presume spying on us. I stand there still completely shocked.

"What?!" Everyone but Nora, me, Nixium and Weiss said.

"........... E-eh?" I stuttered.

In Professor Ozpin's office, like usual, he is sitting on his chair with a mug of coffee in his hand while looking at the monitor which shows the areas in Beacon. He then happen to see and hear what Nora said to Y/N. This cause him to spit his coffee at the monitor which luckily it didn't exploded like last time.

"This kids won't just stop making me waste my coffee! Now I need to brew another one. Hmm should I perhaps add those mysterious substance that a random crow gave me? I guess I'll find it out if I did." He said to himself.
