Clock ticked. A boring speech filled the dull room, decorated with ugly fake plants. The windows were dirty, dust on the shelves and tables were engraved with initials. A boring place, where you should get the skills to survive this thing called life, but instead they just repeat saying the same stuff until you remember it entirely.
You have to focus, because this is the most important time in your life.
Yeah yeah, I know. Whatever...
The ticking of the clock was too loud. I couldn't even hear the teacher anymore as I just stared at the round clock on the light-yellow wall. My gaze was on it, like it would be the last thing I ever see.
Someone tapped a pen against a desk. It was irritating, but the teacher didn't seem to notice. I quickly glanced over and saw my friend staring down at the pen, while tapping it in a rhythm. I showed my teeth to him and mouthed, "Stop that shit."
He smirked and tapped a little harder.
I gave up and turned my gaze back on the clock. Only five more minutes. Soon the first one will start to pack their things and the teacher will probably say something like, "You still have two minutes to learn."
So boring.
I closed my eyes for a second and there it was. The first one started packing. I peeked at the teacher, who was now staring down at the student.
"Excuse me? Do you want a red mark in your books?" She tapped her feet against the dark gray floor.
The student leaned back in his chair and sighed. "But I'm in a hurry."
"I've heard a lot in my time of career, so don't even try. What could be more important than school?" Our teacher said sternly and turned back toward the chalkboard.
I glanced at the clock again. One minute. This can't be real.
Teacher turned to us. "So, read from page 87 to 119 and write an essay about the subject. Essay has to be over 400 words." She said.
There goes my free time flying out the window. Shit.
"And... if you don't have it ready by monday, you will have to do another one." Teacher said, smiling.
I could swear her smile was pure evil. Who does that? I think she enjoys torturing kids.
The bell rang.
Freedom, here I come! I grabbed my stuff, literally threw them into my bag and ran out of the class. I went to my locker, pushing the books there by force, because it was so messy.
Someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around.
"She is a monster." Minhyuk sighed. "An essay? Really? For weekend???" He moaned.
"I know right? I thought I could chill and play games, but no." I said dramatically.
"It's not the world's end." Hyunwoo said, walking up to us.
Minhyuk eyed him. "What do you mean?"
"It's important for us to know how to write essays. We might need it in the future." Hyunwoo said.
I snorted so hard, that I could almost feel my brain coming out of my nose.
"It's not funny." Minhyuk said. "This man here, believes that writing an essay about some old dude controlling a country is important to us." He patted Hyunwoo's shoulder. "It's okay... you'll get over it."
Hyunwoo didn't even smile at it. He just scoffed and walked away.
"So, what are we doing tonight?" Minhyuk asked.
"Um... I'm gonna eat, then I'll play some csgo and then I'll probably go to sleep." I explained.
Minhyuk shook his head. "No no no... it's friday! Friday! Gotta get down on friday!"
"No, stop. That song will be stuck in my head." I moaned, covering my ears.
"Okay okay. But we're doing something." Minhyuk said.
I rolled my eyes. "Like what?"
"Party?"
"Where? I can't host." I hummed.
"Hmm... I can't either. My grandma is visiting." Minhyuk said.
"That's the only reason? Like, what about your parents?" I asked.
"Nah, they don't really mind." Minhyuk scoffed. "Let's ask Kihyun, if he can host."
I nodded and followed Minhyuk out of the doors of the school. I could smell the fresh air again, ah, my lungs were about to die in there.
Minhyuk spotted Hyunwoo and Kihyun talking.
"Kihyun!" He yelled and ran to him.
I followed but didn't bother to run.
"Can you host a party tonight?" Minhyuk asked.
Kihyun seemed taken aback. "Um... no?"
"Aw... then who can!?" Minhyuk threw his hands in the air. "Someone? Please? I really want to go to a party..."
I again, rolled my eyes. I turned to Kihyun. "Do you know anyone who might have their house empty?" I asked.
"No, not really. But we could ask Jooheon." Kihyun smiled.
This time Hyunwoo rolled his eyes. "Really? You're going to go with them?"
"Ahem, yes. He's coming with us, mr gotta learn everything." Minhyuk grabbed Kihyun's arm. "You're invited too, if you can come." He added.
I smiled. "It won't hurt to try." I said to Hyunwoo. "Right?"
"Right..." Hyunwoo sighed.
We continued our way to find Jooheon and luckily enough, we spotted him at the gates with Changkyun.
"Hey! Guys!" Minhyuk screamed.
They turned to us and waited for us to walk up to them.
"What's up?" Jooheon asked.
"Do you know if someone has their house empty tonight?" I asked, before Minhyuk could say anything.
Jooheon surprisingly nodded. "Changkyun was just talking about it."
Changkyun smirked. "Do you know Taehyung?"
"Oh... you mean that weirdo who dressed like a grandpa?" Minhyuk asked.
"Um, yeah... that dude." Changkyun nodded. "He's having a party tonight."
"Yes!!!" Minhyuk screamed. "And we're going!"
I raised my finger and waited for Minhyuk to stop yelling. "But... Are we invited?"
"Doesn't matter. It's always better to crash parties." Minhyuk said sassily.
"Are you sure it's a good idea?" Kihyun asked.
"Hmm... no, but whatever."
"Oh boy..." Hyunwoo sighed.
Jooheon suddenly grabbed Minhyuk's hands. "You know what? I think it's a great idea!"
"No, not you too..." Kihyun moaned.
"Okay, let's vote." I said. "Raise your hand if you want to crash the parties."
I raised my hand. Minhyuk and Jooheon did too. Hyunwoo and Kihyun kept theirs down. We all looked at Changkyun, who smiled innocently and raised his hand.
"Yes! It's four versus two!" Minhyuk yelled. "Suck that, bitches!"
"Language, please." Kihyun hissed.
"Okay mom, but we're crashing that party tonight boys!"
