Hoseok's words couldn't be true. How could he just say that?

"W-what? What did you say?" I asked him.

Hoseok let out a dry laugh. "You heard me. I'm not alive."

"B-but I see you... I can see you're breathing and... and..."

Hoseok shook his head. "You just don't understand, do you?"

He started walking away. I panicked and went after him. Hoseok walked up to a window, which led to a room. He looked at me in the eye and turned back to the window.

"Watch me closely." He said to me.

I did. He moved even closer to the window, which was closed. I could see his shoulder touching the glass, but suddenly his body went through it. I rubbed my eyes and when I looked at him again, the rest of his body went through the wall and soon he looked at me through the window.

"H-hoseok? How did you..."

Hoseok popped his head through the window to speak to me. "I said, I'm not alive, Hyungwon." He laughed. "I don't feel anything because of that."

"But why are you here? Why can I see you?" I asked him.

"I never told you others can see me. Now that you know, I might as well leave you." Hoseok said, moving back into the room.

"HOSEOK!" I screamed at him.

He didn't say anything, he just looked at me.

"Hoseok! Get back here! You didn't explain this to me! I don't understand it!"

His eyes stared at me. It seemed like he wasn't listening to me. I walked a little closer to the window. I could feel his stare on me.

"Hoseok, please... talk to me." I pleaded.

He walked back through the window.

"What is there to talk, Hyungwon?" He asked.

"I... you can't just leave like this." I said, my hands trembling. "What about the times we had? What about the texting? I... I don't believe this, Hoseok."

"You don't have to believe it. I was here only to help you. I was here to make you understand, that you can trust no one." Hoseok said.

"N-no..."

"Yes. Now, I've done it. I have nothing to do here anymore."

"Please... don't go..."

Hoseok walked past me. He went inside the house. I walked behind him, trying to grab his shirt. We reached the hallway.

"Hoseok, where are you going!? What do you mean by not being alive?" I asked.

Again, he didn't answer me. He just walked to the stairs. I quickly followed him and saw him going down them.

"Hoseok! Come back! I want to know the truth!"

I ran down the stairs, almost falling down. When I reached the living room, I saw him outside the house. My legs carried me to him. He was standing on the sidewalk. I ran to the yard, falling onto my knees on the grass.

"N-no... you can't do this to me." I whispered.

"I can." He answered, his eyes turning emotionless.

Hoseok turned around and his body started fading. I felt panicked, trying to get him come back to me.

"Hoseok! Don't leave me! I'm sorry!! I know I did wrong, but can you forgive me? I..." I started crying, even though he told me it's pathetic. "I need you! No one else will understand me! I don't understand what you mean!!!"
