"Silence." I said and quietness washed over the courtyard. Even the creatures stopped to listen to me.
"I know that I am new here and that many of you probably do not know who I am but," I was sweating, anxiety was setting in. Their eyes were so focused on me, I don't know if I could do this. "I will clear it up for you here and now." I started to fly above them and glared downwards.
"I am Ymir Van Tepes! Know my name and respect it or you will be shown no mercy. Earlier today, a few humans wandered into our territory. Talyn, one of our own, attempted to rescue them which should have been a clear sign of their importance yet you all did nothing, not a single one of you came to her aide. Talyn and these humans are my own belongings and you should treat them as such. Now, to me."
The hellhounds rushed through the crowd and jumped onto the balcony to join me. I intensified my glare and every being in the vicinity was hit with a wave of pain. I focused solely on the hellhounds until I heard bones start to snap before releasing them. I hadn't intended to hit everyone, but there was so much power that I couldn't control
it all properly."The next time anything of mine is put in harms way, you will all suffer greatly." I warned, trying my hardest to sound like a comic book villain. I dismissed everyone and landed. Jake helped me down as the courtyard cleared and I smiled. "How did I do?" I asked and his eyes averted slightly before he replied with "great". Did he always do that when he lied?
"Well, now that your display has ended. I need to borrow my brother for a moment." Kabal appeared and I nodded. Jake told me to practice with Kara in the courtyard so I guess that's what I was about to do. She flipped over the balcony and I wanted to try it so I did too. When I landed, the ground cracked and I froze like a child that broke a brand new toy. "It's fine, just go." Jake laughed as Talyn followed me and I nodded.
"Are you sure using coercion on your parents was a good idea?" She asked and I nodded. "They should sleep until I'm back to normal, they're probably tired from the healing process anyway. I just can't believe they tracked me here, and I'm also glad you were there to save them. Thank you so much." I said and she said it was no problem.
"Master, you can use every power that I have in my arsenal. You can also call beasts of all sorts to come and fight me for you. Whatever tactic you use, your only goal is to get used to these abilities so there is no way you can lose or discredit yourself. I will evade and fight the monsters as well as any other underling you call to fight me but I will never throw a direct attack towards you. Now, let's begin." I liked this, no pressure and no embarrassment. That's a great way to flourish.
I swiped my hand in her direction and a gust of wind was sent her way. She was knocked into the wall and I rushed to her. "Kara!" I screamed as I reached to pull her out of the wall. "I am fine, why did you stop?" She asked and I shook my head. "I don't want to actually hit you!" I screamed and she nodded. "I can dodge faster if you would like." She said and I nodded. "Please do." With that we separated again and I asked Talyn if she had some kind of unique power that she's been waiting to show me.
"Hell yes I do! Watch this!" She stretched her palm out to Kara and her fingertips glowed white. In the next second, her body fell and Kara started laughing. I looked between them and she pointed to herself. "I CAN POSSESS PEOPLE!!!" She did a little dance before returning to her own body and I cheered with her.
"That's amazing!" I turned back to Kara and tried to focus on listening to her heart and organs. As I suspected they were all slow moving but then I heard something else.
"—That much power with just a transfer? Kara is a powerful sub but she shouldn't have been able to give him this much power." It was Jake, I was peeping into their conversation and it was about me. "He must be connected to an old bloodline, but then how could he be human?" Kabal seemed puzzled as was I, I didn't think I was that powerful. I stopped listening to them and focused back on Kara.
I swiped my hand again and she dodged this time. I continued to shape the wind in different ways to attack her but she kept moving. I glared at her and her body froze. "Walk to me slowly." I used coercion and she started to come my way. "Talyn, got anything else?" I asked and she nodded. She swiped downward in front of her and pulled out a mace from a pocket in the air.
"There's always this." She laughed and I nodded. "But you're definitely not going to hit her with that." I said and she nodded. "Oh yeah, right." She smiled and Kara told her that it was alright.
"I may appear as a child but I am the fourth oldest being in the covenant. Fight me for real and without restraint, I assure you that I can hold my own and a simple mace will not kill me. It may not even do me any damage." She said and I nodded. Time to get serious then. But the fourth oldest thing boggled me, she looked like a teenager.
"Get her then Talyn." I said and she charged for Kara as she continued to walk towards me. Talyn swung the mace and Kara stopped it with her hand before flipping Talyn into the wall to the left. Surprised, I gasped in shock and Kara appeared behind me. I swung at her and she flipped away. Talyn burst free from the wall and knocked her out of the sky. A cloud of dust rose but it was blown away by Kara as quickly as it formed.
"This is more like it, please give it all that you've got."
