"What—what is this?! Release me demon!" My mom was struggling against Kara's chains but she couldn't seem to get free. Everyone else had been subdued as well, except for Kabal that is. I don't know why exactly but Kara seemed to keep far away from him. Maybe she was afraid of him?

"I will stand stoic at your command, but please refrain from having Kara touch me with those insufferable chains of hers." Kabal spoke and I eyed him before agreeing to let him stay untied. I looked back over the group of people surrounding me, most of them were people I called my family. The others, not so much but I did like Kara.

"Listen, I need all of you to chill out for a second. No blows are to be thrown after these chains come off, understand?" I question and they all agree. I told Kara to free my dad first and then Michael. As soon as the chains dissolved from Michael's body, he charged for Jake. I flashed over and blocked his path with glaring eyes and a very stern look on my face. He paused before backing away slowly.

"You're lost to us... We've lost him Barry!" Michael has tears in his eyes and his voice quivered as he spoke softly. A pang ran throughout my chest, it hurt to hear him like this.

"No, we haven't. Ymir is of a clear mind. Look, he even had that vampire tied up as well. I believe... he is truly himself." He stepped closer to me and cupped my face, looking deep into my eyes. Desperately wishing that I was myself. I placed my right hand on his and leaned into him.

"It is me, papa. I'm not being controlled or anything. I just want all of you to stop fighting. We obviously need to catch up on some things." I said with a little laugh and he laughed too before pulling me in and squeezing me. "I have been looking for you everywhere, little one. I am so glad to have found you." I leaned back and wiped his tears before telling him that everything was alright now that we were together.

"Jake, mom. I need you both to promise me that when the chains come off, you'll both be chill enough to talk."

"Whatever you want dear. Even though I despise these creatures of the night, I will hear you out."

I turned to look at Jake and he just stared at me.

"Jake?" I called and he still didn't say anything until I stepped closer. "Now I understand... why I couldn't keep myself from you. Why you smell so good... You're an Angel." I had kind of figured that from seeing my mom in action but hearing someone say it out loud caused me to falter for a moment.

"I- Does that mean that you only liked me because I have angel blood?" I feared the answer... I hope it wasn't going to be because of that.

I told Kara to free them and he stood up to his full height and looked at me with a gentle smile. "Of course not," my heart had stopped for just a moment but then it continued to beat regularly. I thought he was going to say "of course" but the "not" at the end was all I needed to hear.

"You, are my beloved. I couldn't live without you. No matter who you were, no matter where you came from. You were always going to be my only reason for living... The light in my darkness, The love of my eternal life." I hugged him and he held me tightly before we parted and he teased me. "So, we're moving on to random hugs now? That's great progress." He smiled and I told him to shut up. I turned around and my mom had her hands clasped together with tears in her eyes.

"Oh my God, my baby's in love!" She squealed and rushed over to us. "Oh I don't care that he's a demon straight out of hell, you're beautiful together!" She was fan-girling all over us now, like her and Jake weren't just blasting the surrounding area to bits trying to kill each other.

"So, what exactly is there to talk about? You have everyone's complete attention. Well except your unconscious friend over there." Kabal said and I nodded.

"Right, let's get to it. But first," I turned and punched Jake in the stomach and he keeled over. "Don't ever raise your hand to my mother again, or Talyn. You got that?" He nodded swiftly from the floor and I smiled. "Great. Now everyone, I'm staying with Jake. I've decided to actually try to continue our relationship even though he's put me through so much this past year. Dad and Michael, please don't kill anymore of the vampires in the house of Tepes. They are apart of my family as well now. Jake, you will not continue to do that abusive, broody act. I'm not going to continue to put up with it. And please don't pick a fight with either of my parents or Michael, I'd rather we all get along."

Everybody was talking now and they seemed to all be in compliance to what I said. Heh, maybe being a head of the house won't be so hard.

"Ymir, we need to talk. You and your boyfriend need to follow me, we have some very important things to go over." I nodded and went to get Jake. He had tasked Talyn with sending my dad and Michael off so I hugged them all before they left. Jake and I went up to our room and found my mom there.

"Nice bed, I bet it works wonders when you're-"

"Oh god, mom no! Please, let's... not talk about that." I said and Jake laughed. She told me to sit down and so I did.

"On a serious note, we need to talk about your future."

"What about it?"

"There's going to be some complications, you can't be a vampire and an Angel at the same time."
