Origins

"Hunters!!!" A scream rang out and Kara immediately jumped to me. Talyn ran over to us as well but I was confused. "Hunters?" I questioned and Kara informed me that they were Vampire hunters, skilled warriors that could kill Vampires even as humans.

"Come, let's find them. We need to keep everyone safe." I said and they nodded so I took off into the sky. They followed as I soared over the castle grounds and saw another familiar face.

"Michael?!" I screamed as I saw him go hand to hand with a vampire and win. "Ymir, they've transferred to you. That's good, it'll wear off. Let's get your parents and leave. Is that Talyn?" She nodded and he sighed. "I'm so sorry, we've lost her." He swung a whip and it nearly hit Talyn but Kara caught it. It started to sizzle in her palm and she pulled him to her. He flipped and drew his arm back as he prepared to punch and she did the same.

"Kara no!" I said and she just flipped out of the way. "He tried to kill her, are you sure you want to spare his life?" She asked and I nodded. "Michael stop! What are you doing?" I asked and a person flashed by me. Michael pulled a dagger from his back and blocked the assailant that turned out to be Kabal. "Die!" Kabal roared before slicing the air and blowing Michael away with a tremendous amount of force. Michael landed in a crouched position and pulled another dagger from his back.

"You survived that... I fully intended to kill you. Let us see how long you can truly last." Kabal spoke and rushed Michael. They fought and Michael held his own for awhile before he started to lose ground. Kabal slashed with his claws and snapped the daggers in half before trying to impale Michael. A blue shield appeared in front of him and blocked Kabal's strike. "My lady, you needn't use your power. I will-"

"Silence." My mother's voice called my eyes to the body on the balcony. She stood there with her right palm outstretched. It had a blazing blue energy covering it, the same as the shield. "An angel, here?" Kara questioned and I was shocked. "An angel? Mom?!" I looked between everyone but nobody moved or talked.

"Somebody explain to me what's going on!!!" I yelled but everyone was still quiet. I forced dense coercion on everyone and they all wailed in agony. "If you're not going to explain, none of you need to be present. Leave us!" I yelled and all of the vampires disappeared. My mom floated down from the balcony but Kabal and Jake blocked her path. Michael jumped to my mom's side and my father made it to the courtyard. Kabal immediately lowered his arms and I started to talk.

"If any of you move I swear to God I'm going to beat the shit of out all of you! Stop trying to fight and just talk to me. What's going on?!" I was so confused but I was also angry. They all looked to me before my papa stepped forward. "Ymir, you've been kidnapped and brainwashed by this vampire. You need to come home with us now."

"I haven't been brainwashed but I have been kidnapped. What is this about Michael being a hunter and mom being an angel?" I question and he said that it's just as it looks.

"Michael and I are both Vampire hunters. Your mother is an archangel that pretended to be a huntress and that's how we met. That Jake boy is a demon that hears a coven of vampires, please come here so that your mother can destroy this place and we can leave." Maybe this was my chance, I could get away! But I'm sure they won't allow me to bring Talyn and I'm not leaving without her.

"I-"

"You're not taking Ymir anywhere," Jake said as he removed his jacket. "And you're definitely not destroying my castle." My mother stepped forward as well and then her eyes changed to the same silver that Jake's were that night in the field. I moved to stop them but they were too fast. They clashed and burst into the sky. We saw two blurs, red and blue, fighting up in the clouds. Michael attempted to grab me and Kabal sliced towards his hand. My dad blocked him and they all jumped apart.

"I had hoped to never see you again."

"I had hoped the same but it seems that we are intertwined in one another's fates."

"I would not normally raise a hand to someone who once saved my life... But an exception can be made this once."

Kabal took on Michael and my dad. There was a constant flow of combat and sparks. The clanging of their weapons rang all over the courtyard and it was agitating me more. I was sick of the bickering and the fighting, I was sick of being in the dark. They would all listen to me, even if I had to make them!

"Kara, subdue them all." She blasted off towards Michael, Kabal, and papa. She punched the ground and split them up.

"Talyn."

"Right!"

Kara grabbed Kabal and tackled him to the ground, from there he didn't move a muscle as she had her claws at his throat. Talyn went for Michael, her mace overwhelmed him and she knocked him unconscious. I moved behind my father and as he turned, I compelled him to sleep. "Up." I instructed and we flew into the sky towards Jake and my mom. I went for her while Talyn went for Jake. They leapt away from each other and I swirled my hand to create a whirlwind to keep them separated. "Mom, stop!" I yelled and she floated over to me.

"Are you okay? Have they done anything to you?" She looked worried and I shook my head. "Let's just talk to them, please!" I said and she frowned. "These demons won't-" "They'll listen to me, you just have to stop trying to destroy everyone." She sighed and nodded. "Ok, let's talk."

Talyn's scream drew my attention and I flew over to find Jake holding her body up by her head. "You dare defy me?!" He yelled and I flew into him. "Ymir?" He questioned and I punched him as hard as I could and he fell to the ground like a meteor. I caught Talyn and I returned to the ground.

"Kara."

"Yes?"

"Tie them all up please, including Jake."

"Right away, Master Ymir."
