I woke up to a tear stained face, and the same constant rocking of water. Everything was the same through the day, but I can't deny that I sensed something out of the usual.
Running feet could be heard from the deck above, with the following of commands and acknowledgments. I could make out one main thing that made my heart jump for joy... land ho...
The overwhelming feeling of being able to get off this ship and find in my relatives made me cry in happiness. I just hoped that I was able to get out of the vessel just for a little day, that's all I need.
I could picture myself running across the shoreline and into a cave were they wouldn't find me for days at a time.
But little did I know that, I wouldn't get to feel the hard ground for a while.
