≈Hiccup≈ A Glimpse Into Their Lives

Bruh, if I were to write and publish a book of my own, I'm almost certain that no one would read it. Not because of plot or the way I write but because of how awful the title would be 😂😂

The sun barely peeked over the misty horizon when (Y/n) felt a playful nip on her ear. A light groan left her lips and she sighed up at her boyfriend of about a year.

"I'm not gonna wake up for you."

"I never said you had to." Hiccup's voice was heavy with sleep, proving that he also wasn't ready to wake up. His hands reached out for her curled up form and once he felt the silky fabric of her nightgown, he dragged it closer. (Y/n) huffed but let him have his way for once. "You always sleep so far."

"I'm aware."

"Why?" Even though his bright emerald eyes were still hazed with sleep, consciousness could be heard creeping into his voice.

"Maybe because I can." He decided not to press the subject and nuzzled into the back of her neck. His hands slipped underneath her dress then drifted up to her thigh and over the thin stretch marks of her hip. She subconsciously leaned into his chest, enjoying the gentle gesture.

"Well, we don't have to train today and there's really no work to do around town."

"So you have the day off?" (Y/n)'s deep (e/c) eyes gazed up at Hiccup with almost childish excitement. Now that he'd thought about it, it'd nearly been a month since they'd last hung out. Since she had yet to get a dragon and he had things to handle concerning them, they often wouldn't see each other except for the few nights where they'd share a bed. He placed a chaste kiss on her forehead.

"Mhm, and I have a plan as to how we should spend it "

"Oh?" By now the couple was wide awake, snuggled emersed one another's embrace. "And what did you have in mind?"

"I wanted to find you a dragon."

"...I'm sorry?"

"You don't want one?"

"What? No that's not what I meant, it's just, I don't know if that's a good idea. I'm not exactly the most athletic and I don't have an hourglass figure like Astrid and Ruffnut." This earned a skeptical look from the handsome man. As if she wasn't close enough, he wrapped his arms around (y/n) and pulled her body tight against his.

She wanted to push against him but over the past few days, she'd been craving his security.

"What does figure have to do with anything?"

"Well isn't weight important in choosing a dragon?"

"Not really."

"Oh."

"But just to let you know, I like the way you are now." His lips trailed up her neck until he finally kissed the bottom of her jaw. This caused the young woman to reel back in shock.

"What are you doing?"

"I don't know." Even though he couldn't see her, he knew she'd rolled her eyes in response.

"You're such an impulsive man." Hiccup's low hum reverberated from his chest into her's.

"I'm going to go bathe, Toothless will be up any moment."

"Then I'll make breakfast."

About an hour later, the sun was finally up and (y/n) hid behind Hiccup as Toothless eyed her suspiciously.

"Don't worry buddy, she's just my fiaaa..." The vowel hung on his tongue for a bit before he fixed himself. "Friend, my girlfriend to be exact." Toothless' resolve refused to waver and he continued to glare at the innocent young woman.

"Maybe we should try this some other time."

"No, no, I'm sure it'll be fine." Before she knew it, the two of them were soaring through the sky at seemingly impossible speeds. (Y/n) desperately clung to Hiccup's waist but didn't show any other signs of fear. The way her cheek pressed against his back made a warm smile cross his sharp features. "Are you still scared?"

"N-no, he seems not to be bothered by me."

"Actually he's been grinning ever since you got on. I think he likes you." Toothless gave a snort in response before diving down until they were just hovering over the ocean water. (Y/n) smiled.

"Nice save back there by the way."

"Save?"

"'Don't worry buddy, she's just my fiaaa...'" she mimicked making her boyfriend's face redden. "Oh, so you do remember." She cooed. He didn't reply as the (h/c)-ette rested her chin on his shoulder. "We've been together a year now. If you ever do decide to ask that question then I'd gladly say yes. We do share a bed after all."

"Then I guess I don't really have to ask anymore.?" Hiccup lovingly kissed her cheek and she smiled brightly. "Now let's go find you your dragon."

"Whatever you say." Mumbled (y/n) as she savored the warmth of her impulsive boyfriend and the breeze against her skin.
