★14★ I've jumped into the sea of love

When they landed, they landed on something very soft and bouncy. They have landed on an air bag that's designed for high falls. They bounced a couple of times before they have stopped bouncing in the air. Yukine can't believe she's alive...

"...!" Yukine scrambled up to her knees and looked around her. She realized she was safe and she's still alive, this was reality. Tears started to form when the realization that she's still alive and breathing. 

"Kise!" She crawled over to Kise and checked on him. His eyes were closed. "Kise...!" He can't be dead! He can't! She doesn't want him to die! She pulled him up and pressed her ear against his chest. 

*Ba-dum*

The soft beating of his heart was enough to draw her tears. Yukine cried against Kise's chest; she thought he was gone for good. She thought he had left her behind but he was still here. 

"Yukine! Kise!" Kasamatsu pushed his way out of the crowd and passed the police. He climbed onto the air bag and hugged his little sister. He thought he had lost his little sister when he raced to the destination. He saw her and Kise fall from the tall building and he felt his heart shatter into pieces. He pushed through the crowd to expect the worst but he was relieved to see Yukine alive. 

Airi and the others were here too, standing just before the police line. They were here because Airi's father told Airi where Yukine went and she passed the message to everyone else. Airi was so glad that Kise was alive too. She tried to stop herself from crying; she thought both Kise and Yukine were dead but when she saw the Kasamatsu siblings cry in each other's arms. she was just relieved to see everyone was okay...

Kasamatsu and Yukine allowed the people inside the ambulance rescue Kise. Kise needed treatment immediately.

"Yukine, go. We'll catch up with you later." Kasamatsu pushed her forward to the ambulance. 

Yukine held Kise's hand and held it against her forehead. 

"Please wake up soon... We are alive, Kise..."

After a couple of hours, Kise found himself waking up. He felt a little tired but he felt a little better than before. He looked out the window to see the orange setting sun. Was he in heaven? Heaven sure looked beautiful from the window... 

"...!" He felt something holding his hand and he saw it was a sleeping Yukine, asleep by his bedside and holding his right hand tightly. He shifted his fingers in his right hand and the little force made Yukine open her eyes. 

"Ahh... Kise..." 

"S-sen...pai..." His voice, it's very weak and it lacked his happy tone.

Yukine quickly let go of his eyes and fetch him a glass of water. Kise slowly took her hand and held the glass to his dry lips. He drank a lot of water because he was very thirsty. 

"Hah... Hahh... Yukine-senpai." Kise set the glass by the side and held her hand.

"Kise..." 

"I thought we were going to die, I thought we were..." 

"Ah. It's over now..." Yukine was so happy to see he's awake. 

The doctor came in and did some examination on Kise. Yukine stood out of the way to let the doctors do their job. When they finished, they told Yukine that he will need to stay in hospital for a couple of days but he's fine, just a little bit malnourished due to lack of nutrients.
