★9★ A kouhai's responsibility

"I'm home." Kise came back just on time because Yukine had just finished cooking dinner for them. 

"Welcome home, Kise. You better not have eaten because I made dinner!" Yukine shouted from the open kitchen. 

Kise took his shoes off and went to find her. He looked at her back and smiled; she really looked like a wife with an apron on and hair tied in a lazy bun. She caught him looking at her and she smiled. 

"What is it? Staring at me like that..." 

"No, I just thought senpai looked like a wife." 

"Ha! That's the funniest thing I ever heard. Anyone woman who can cook will look like a wife. Hey, take the bowls and chopsticks out and set the table ready." 

"Okay." Kise went to do as he was told and helped set the table up. 

The two of them may not seem like it but they get along well with each other; Kise found himself looking out for her and she found herself taking care of the taller blonde. Kise enjoyed her company because he can be his goofy self around her and they talk about a lot of things with each other right off the bat. 

"..." Kise glanced at the girl sat opposite him. She was eating while watching TV at the same time so she doesn't notice him staring at her. 'Yukine-senpai is a strong girl but she is pretty cute. Just like this...' 

Kise couldn't stop smiling because he was happy. Before, it used to be him finishing work and then go straight to Airi's for dinner. Now, he's got a place to return to even if he doesn't have Airi to himself anymore. He's happy to know that there was someone there to greet him when he comes back.

"Hm?" She finally noticed him staring at her. 

"Nothing. I just think Yukine-senpai is cute." 

"Huh, you've been telling me that quite often..." She wondered why he kept calling her cute. No one really called her that before so having him call her that was something new for her still. "By the way, I've heated the water for you so go and have a bath after dinner, okay?" 

"..." 

"What is it this time? You're looking at me with such a stupid looking face." 

"You always let me use the bath first..." 

"Well, you're the one with an actual job here. On top of that, you are a freshman and you are my responsibility." She's just like her older brother, willingly take up the responsibility for the kouhais. Kise liked that about her.

"Senpai is so kind to me~."

"Whatever, kid."

Dinner was delicious as usual. She knew he was a model so she cooked often for him; home cooked meals will always be healthier than food from the take-out menu. 

'Yukine-senpai looked out for me the moment we became friends. Even though I have hurt her before, she continued to look out for me. I need to take care of senpai too.' That was what Kise decided on his own. This girl who somehow became a Polaris to him, made him want to look out for her back. She gave him a shoulder to cry on and listened to his cries with her ears... The least he can do, was be there for her when the time comes for him to shoulder her tears. Will she let him shoulder her though? She's got the pride of a senpai just like her brother so it might be a challenge for him to shoulder her...

When Kise came out of the bathroom, he can barely hear Yukine talking in English. He came out in a tank top and a pair of boxers. He hung the towel on his right shoulder.
