Chapter 5

Luke's POV

Since Skylar left only minutes ago I got bored. Michael and Calum were back to playing FIFA and Ashton was on his phone, probably on twitter. I should tweet today, haven't tweeted in a while.

@Luke5SOS: Hey guys, sorry I haven't tweeted in a while, I love you guys <3

I pressed send and then went to my texts, I couldn't wait any longer. I wanted to text Skylar.

Hey, what's up? :-) xx

She replied instantly, which is one thing I like about her. Then there's how she's so beautiful, and how she's funny, and her laugh is so ni- Luke stop it. You sound really creepy.

I had debated with myself for a few minutes on whether I should have sent that text or not, but I'm glad I did.

I went back onto twitter to look at my mentions.

I quickly pressed reply

I scrolled down a little more.

@5SecondsOfMaria: There are pictures of 5sos with a girl, who is she? She's gorgeous :)

I decided to reply.

@Luke5SOS: That's Skylar, she's our new friend from school :-) @5SecondsOfMaria

I put my phone down after I replied to a few more tweets and decided it was probably time to go to sleep since it was already midnight.

Skylar's POV

I woke up the next morning and looked at my alarm clock. It's 10am, I'm late for school!

"Shit." I muttered and quickly got off my bed and started putting on my school uniform.

After grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl in the kitchen I quickly looked around to see if I could find my dad. I saw a note attached to the fridge.

It read, 'Morning Skylar, hope you have a good day at school. I got called into a meeting and Julia is out, see you soon x'

I rolled my eyes, he's always at those stupid meetings. I ran out of my house and quickly made my way to school, since I was already over an hour late I went straight to my first lesson and didn't even bother speaking to Rosie, I can explain before lunch.

I open my door to my first class which was Food Tech. Everyone's gaze turned to me, I scanned the room and saw that Luke was in this class with me. Thank god.

"Your late by 35 minutes, Miss Marsh." The teacher said.

"Sorry sir, I overslept." I mumbled.

"It's fine, just don't do it again. Oh and call me Derek." He smiled.

I just nodded my head. What is with these teachers wanting us to call them by their first name? I mean, I'm not complaining. Just curious.

I made my way over to Luke and he smirked at me.

"Overslept huh?"

"Yes..." I looked up at him.

"There's this thing, it's called an alarm." He chuckled quoting what Rosie had told him a few days ago. I laughed.

"So what are we cooking today?" I ask him.

"Well, we did get told to cook whatever we want and bring our own ingredients."

"Your kidding right? I don't have any ingredients, let alone a recipe!" I put my head in my hands. Why am I so unorganised?

He laughed beside me, "Its fine, we can share." He smiled down at me and I smiled back.

"Thanks."

*20 minutes later*

Luke and I were staring at the cupcakes that were cooking in the oven, when suddenly they just burst inside the oven.

"What the fuck?" Luke spoke before I could and quickly ran towards the oven getting the cupcakes out.

"What just happened! Is that even possible?!" I shouted causing people to look at us and laugh as we struggled with getting the cupcakes out.

"What's going on here?" Derek asked.

"They just blew up out of no where!" Luke wiped his forehead, causing a few crumbs to land on his forehead.

"What ingredients did you use?"

We handed him our ingredients and Derek chuckled.

I furrowed my eyebrows at him, "What?"

"You mixed up the flour with icing sugar."

I looked over at Luke since he was the one that added the flour in, or icing sugar in this case. I smacked him over the back of his head.

"You idiot!" I laughed.

"Ouch! I'm sorry." He also laughed as he rubbed the back of his head.

Well, I guess we won't be having cupcakes.

After the lesson was over I had a free session so all I did was listen to music and draw for a while, I loved drawing. It was one of my many escapes from all of the drama. I remember when I first started drawing, those were the days I didn't miss. All of the arguing I could hear coming downstairs in my house, the plates smashing and screams that still sends chills down my spine.

I went back to form and sat in the usual seat, with Calum, Luke and Michael.

Rosie walked into the room, "Oh! Skylar, I didn't think you were in today. I didn't see you this morning."

"Yeah I'm sorry, I overslept."

"It's fine" She smiled back at me.

A/N I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter. Oh well😂
