CHAPTER 13: Accidents Happen

"Harry! The girls are here!" Louis called, letting Fiona and I inside Harry's apartment. I kicked off my shoes and shivered. It was raining and miserable outside, finally fulfilling the crappy weather England promised.

"Hey guys," I said, walking inside to see Liam, Zayn, and Niall watching TV and Harry doing sit ups on the floor. Fiona flopped down on the couch and curled up next to Liam. I walked over to Harry and stood over him.

"Hello lovely," he said between sit ups.

"Hi." I waited awkwardly for him to stop, then when I looked up at the guys for information, Niall grinned and explained,

"Oh, he's got to do a certain number before he stops. Funny lad." I raised my eyebrow at Harry, and he grinned, taking one hand out from behind his head to blow me a kiss. I giggled, straightened Harry's legs, and sat down on his lap. He grinned and the next time he sat up I dashed a kiss over his mouth. Harry liked this game.

Every time he rose to meet me, kissing me, and dipping back down again. This went on for about fifteen sit ups before Louis glanced at us, amused.

"Well that's one way to motivate yourself," he commented wryly, rolling his eyes. Niall looked over in mild interest and burst out laughing.

"That's a laugh," he chuckled softly to himself, turning back to the television. Fiona giggled into Liam's shoulder, winking at me.

"Well-" I said, pausing as Harry sat up and kissed me again. "Next time you-" I stopped again, Harry's curls

tickling my forehead. "Can do this many sit ups-" Harry laughed, his abs tightening under me. "Without stopping, you can make-" I paused again, feeling the tingle of Harry's lips lingering on mine. "Fun of us."

"She's got a point," Louis said brightly, gesturing to us from his spot on the couch. Harry kissed me one last time and sat up for good, his curls slightly damp with sweat. Wiping his brow with the hem of his t-shirt, (revealing his beautiful abs for half a happy second) Harry crossed his legs and pulled me into his lap, nudging my neck with his nose.

"Hello again, love," he whispered, kissing my shoulder and then my cheek, looking up at me with shy affection.

"Hi again, angel," I said, leaning my head back onto his shoulder with a blissful smile.

"I missed you last night," he said quietly, his breath ruffling my hair. It'd been two weeks and four recording sessions since the day he sang me What Makes You Beautiful, and last night I'd been dragged to one of my dad's fancy business parties again. This time, though, Harry wasn't there to save me.

"I missed you too," I whispered, reaching over my shoulder to play with his curls. He let out a breath and rested his chin on my shoulder, willing me to continue. I twirled each curl around my finger, silently marveling over how silky they were. I could smell his shampoo. Coconut.

Glancing up at the TV, I noticed for the first time what was on. It was an old rerun of the X-Factor, one that I'd seen months ago.

"You guys watch this too?" I asked, sitting up in Harry's lap in surprise. Harry wrapped his arms around my waist like he was afraid I was leaving him.

"We thought about trying to get on there when the season started," Liam said.

"Why didn't you?" Fiona asked, her voice high with incredulity. Liam laughed, stroking a strand of hair off her forehead and glancing at Harry.

"Well, audition times were right round the same time Harry met Sarah. He wouldn't leave her." Everything got quiet and still. I turned around in Harry's lap, searching his face.
