Chapter 28: Five Seconds of Something

I woke up early the day of takeoff with a headache and sore fingers. Harry, Zayn and I has been up till the wee hours of the morning playing Call Of Duty and I hadn't been able to get them to stop till at least 3 am.

"Love...." Harry grumbled when the warmth beside him disappeared. "Where are you going?"

I gotta get up," I told him softly, pulling my hair up into a bun and blindly looking for socks. "We leave after lunch and I still have loads of packing to do." Harry rubbed his eyes and sat up, covers falling off a bare chest. No matter how much time went by, his beauty never ceased to amaze me.

"I have packing to do as well," he said sleepily, standing up and touching my waist in affection. "Tea?" I nodded. Most people started their day with a steaming pot of coffee, but harry and I stuck with warm apple cinnamon tea.

By 11:00, half my belongings were spread across the room. Fiona had come back from Liam's, but she was all packed and with all love, she was in the way. Harry was running his hands through his curls till they stood up straight, carrying things across the house and all the way back with a sigh.

Niall called us at 11:30 to say that he and rachey were ready, and would meet us at the airport in an hour. Not too long after, I got the same call from Zayn, then louis. Liam was good to go whenever we gave him the call, and it seemed right then that harry and I were the only ones not prepared for a four month trip.

"Sarah!" Harry's voice was stressed, and I answered his call with caution.peering around the bedroom doorway, I saw him digging through my bags and tossing things aside. "Why is your stuff all over this freaking room? I can't find my stuff anywhere!" I furrowed my eyebrows and went inside, pulling him off my bags. He ignored me and disappeared into the bathroom.

"Hey!" I said, annoyed. There was a silence.

"What?!" He said finally, voice low.

"Harry, come in here."

"I don't have time to come in there! I have a million things to do and half an hour to do them and-" He seemed to know I was serious though, because when I walked into the bathroom he met me halfway.

"Angel?" I said it gently, but with meaning. "I know you're stressed, but I have just as much to do as you. We're going to make it fine, but you've got to calm down." Harry's wild eyes met mine, squinted with disapproval at my words.

"You don't have as much to do, this is my tour, not-" I grabbed the front of his t-shirt and dragged him into me, staring forcibly into his eyes.

"Stop yelling at me." Harry swallowed hard but his gaze stayed driven into mine. I pulled him closer by his disheveled curls and kissed him, short but deep. When I pulled away his eyes were softer, and he looked apologetic. "Stop yelling at me," I repeated, and he nodded.

"I'm sorry lovely." I nodded and let him kiss my forehead before bending down to pick up my mess of luggage. A couple minutes went by of silence before harry spoke again.

"Hey." I looked up. Harry was on the other side of the bed, holding a pair of sweatpants that looked like mine. "I love you," he said, tossing the pants at me. I caught them with a smile.

"Love you too."

Exactly forty-five minutes later, we were loading the last of our bags into Liam's car. Harry was checking his phone every two seconds for the time and eventually I had to stand on the porch steps and hold him in my arms while Fiona and Liam loaded the last of our things.

"Are you nervous?" I asked him quietly, stroking his hair. He nodded into my shoulder without a word. "I'm here with you, harry. Don't forget that." Harry nodded again, this time lifting his head and kissing me sweetly on the lips.
