CHAPTER 15: A Terrible, Rue-The-Day Slideshow From Hell

Two days later, Fiona was talking to her mom on the phone and I was bored of sitting around and hearing

just how much she missed her daughter, so I left a note saying I was going to Harry's and left the house. I took a cab to the corner and walked the extra block, turning into Harry's driveway to see a powder blue convertible I'd never seen before parked there. Weird.

I walked up the porch stairs and buzzed myself in, taking the steps by two up to Harry's apartment. I was about to knock on the door when I heard voices from inside.

"What are you doing here," Harry's voice said. Suddenly, two and two flew together and I pushed open the

door. An instant, cold hard dread shot through me like a thousand knives. A tall, anorexic-skinny blonde had Harry pushed up against the wall and was plastered to his face like a slut.

I couldn't move. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't think of anything but the angry sadness burning up my entire

self. Harry was cheating on me. Right there. Right now. My head hurt. My heart hurt. I felt my eyes start to burn with tears and I was about to leave when the blonde snaked her tan arms around under Harry's shirt, murmuring the words:

"Didn't you miss me, baby?" I didn't want to hear his answer.

"Harry?" I said, my voice cracking. He started like he was being electrocuted at the sound of my voice, trying to pull the blond off of him. She resisted at first but then saw me out of the corner of her eye, reluctantly half-pulling off Harry's body. My Harry. Mine.

"Who's this kid?" the blond whined. Nobody answered her.

"Harry...you, you...I can't believe you," I said, my voice low.

"Sarah, no, this isn't what it looks like at all," he pleaded, pushing the blond off of him completely and reaching out to me. I dodged his touch, but Harry's fingers brushed my arm like fire. I blinked back tears, my whole brain shutting down. He promised me this would never happened. He promised.

"You promised," I breathed, watching the pain in his eyes deepen.

"Get. Out." Harry took the blond by the arm and pushing her towards the door. "Now." She laughed like it

was a joke, but when she saw he wasn't kidding, she scowled.

"You'll want me back soon, Hazza baby," she crooned. "You'll need me back." She pushed past me and grabbed Harry by the chin, biting his lip and running her tongue along his jaw. He stood, frozen, his eyes fixed on me. With a little sassy kick of her high heeled boot, the blond was out the door and gone.

"Who was that?" I asked quietly, a lump rising in my throat. This couldn't be happening. It just couldn't.

"It was some girl I used to date, she just came back-"

"I don't want to hear it!" I screamed suddenly. "I don't want to hear about your stupid blonde rebound! Just

wish you could of told me we were over!" Harry's eyes had gone wide at the sudden change in my voice. I could see tears forming in the corners, his eyelashes fluttering constantly to keep from crying.

"I told you Sarah, please I swear, she just came back and and was all over me!" he cried desperately. "I didn't

want it, I promise you."

"I didn't see you stopping her," I said, my voice cracking with anger. "Did you? Did I just miss it? Huh?" Harry

sat heavily down on the couch, his head in his hands.
