I had waited all night. She had not so much as twitched. She was gone, I couldn't hear a heartbeat and her hand was ice cold now. "Wolfram," I heard a soft voice. It was Josie. "I think you should come to dad's office, there is a meeting going on and information from your wolves. A male is on the phone now," she said quietly. "Josie, I can't leave her. There is still time," I said. My voice sounded rough, like I hadn't spoken in decades. She smiled. "I know. I'll stay with her and if anything changes, you'll be the first to know," she said. I looked back at Luna's body. She was beautiful, her skin was blue though. I knew it shouldn't be that color, not with the turning, but it could be a possibility. "Okay. I'll be back in a few minutes," I said. I got up and watched as Josie sat where I had been sitting just a few moments ago. I reached over and latched the cell door. "Just in case. If she wakes up, she will be disoriented, she could lash out," I said. Josie gave me a small smile. I could pick up on her emotions. That girl was something else. She loved me, I could feel that. But, she really hoped that Luna would wake up for my sake. I shook my head as I left the cellar and made my way to Ric's office.

As I entered his office, everyone stopped and stared at me. The whole family was in. "Wolfram, any change?" Damon asked. I shook my head. Klaus sighed and Rebekah looked toward Stefan. "There is someone for you on the phone," Ric said. I reached over and grabbed my cellphone. I had left it laying on Ric's desk. I answered. "Hello?" I asked. "Alpha, we have the culprit. He has confessed, after a little torture. He is a vampire," the wolf said. "I'll be there in a few hours. Have him ready, alive," I growled. Ric held his hand up. "Better yet, have three wolves accompany him to Mystic Falls. I'll deal with things here," I said. "Yes, Alpha," they answered. I hung the phone up. "I'll get a cellar ready," Ric said sending a text to Dorian. "Wolfram, if she hasn't woken up yet, you know..." Hope trailed off looking at my face. "I know, but the time isn't up yet," I said. That's when my phone lit up. I answered immediately. "She's awake," Josie whispered. I turned and sprinted through the halls and down the steps. She was awake. My mate was alive.

"Luna?" I asked softly. She jerked her head to meet my eyes. "Where am I?" she asked shakily. The sun was starting to rise. "You are in Mystic Falls, at the school that your brother goes too," I said softly. I could hear the other family members waiting at the top of the steps. "What happened to me?" she asked looking at her arms. "You were attacked in New Orleans, by a vampire. He...he killed you," I said. She looked up at me with confusion. That's when I saw her eyes flash. "You were a wolf, you were supposed to be dead. Apparently my blood saved you in time," I said. She stared at me. "I'm a hybrid," she stated. I could tell that she hated it. The distaste in her mouth at the word, hybrid, had me wincing. "Yeah, you're a hybrid," I said. She stared at me for a few moments and then she looked at Josie. "Who are you?" she asked calmly. "My name is Josie," she said. Luna made a weird face before she smiled at her. "You are the other twin, the one that my brother said is the calmer and more stable of the two. I like you, I met you when we brought him here the first time," Luna said. Josie gave her a small smile. "Well, since she is awake, I'll let you explain everything to her in peace," she said. I smiled. I knew that she would keep prying ears from listening in. I gave her a nod of gratitude and she disappeared up the stairs. "Nice girl," Luna commented. "Yeah, she helped me teleport to save you," I said. She sighed. "You didn't save me," she said. I was stunned. She was blunt on the subject. "You turned me into what you are. Not, that I'm mad that I'm alive, but I don't want to be this," she said. That's when the ray of sunlight from the next door cell hit her skin and instead of her arm catching on fire, she burst into flames. I started screaming, breaking the barrier Josie had placed around the cellar and people were flooding into the room. A hole burst through the wall and she was rolled outside. People were watching and then suddenly it was gone. The fire and the blinding light. "LUNA?!" I screamed. She was standing there, then she was pulled into the air. Huge, white wings sprouted from her back and she was suspended into air. "My son, you must let her be what she must. You will understand later," I heard a soft voice. I saw her. She was standing beside the statue of the gargoyle, looking at me. Her eyes were mixed and her hair was curly and blowing in a gentle breeze. I looked back up at Luna and she slowly came back down to the ground. "What am I?" she asked. "An angel-blood," I whispered. Ric frowned and so did Klaus. "An angel-blood?" Josie asked. "There were legends told in the Middle East that only pure beings, no matter the creature, would be given a second chance at life, they would procure the gift from an angel. This being, they would become part of a specific angel's bloodline. It seems that Luna has gained the favor of a specific angel," I explained. "Your mother explained this?" Klaus asked. "No. My grandmother," I stated. Klaus turned his head. "Ester, a few years ago," I said. Rebekah almost fainted right there. "But, it seems my mother wants her to embrace her angel side," I commented. "Why can I hear faint whispers?" Luna asked. "Because you have angel-blood now, you can hear them, and those that have died," I said. "You will learn with time how to block them out and how to let specific voices in. The angel that gave you this power is the one that is supposed to help you," I said. "But who gave me this?" she asked. "I don't know," I said frowning. Then she straightened up and I saw a mix of joy and fear come into her eyes. "I know, but I can't let anyone else know until my training is complete," she said. I frowned. "Okay," I said. I was just glad to have her back. "I guess when your parents get here we can tell them the good news about you being alive," I said. She laughed. Her laugh was like heaven to my ears. She was absolutely beautiful.
