As soon as I walked back into the Boarding School, heads whipped to look at us. Josie had claimed me in the mating and now our marks were identical and it shown like a blue inked tattoo. It would stay there for as long as we both lived. "What did you do?" Nova asked, breaking the silence. Ric scowled in the back, waiting to hear my answer. Jo grabbed his hand and waited. "It wasn't me," I stated calmly. Ric's eyes darted to Josie's face. "It was me," she said confidently. The shy and shadowed girl had become a Queen and a rebel in just a few short days. "The marks," Cami said looking at our shoulders. "A royal, mated pair. They won't be the only ones to gain them," Elijah said. He pulled his shirt collar aside to show a deep blue mark. It was similar to mine, but it had HM in the middle. Klaus pulled his back to reveal a CM. Rebekah's mark was a little different. Her mark had SS and the Salvatore crest, but a small crescent moon and a small sun sat on each side of her initials. "I mated a Salvatore, I am from the original family of vampires, and I am related to the original wolves," she explained. My mark was huge. It contained the Salvatore crest on top, with the Mikaelson crest joining it. To the bottom right was the sun and a crescent moon. To the bottom left, there was the small star, indicating the magic of a witch, or warlock in my case. Then on top of the crests there were huge wings. The mark of my gifted bloodline from the angels. Josie contained a similar mark, but she had a G inside the star, indicating the Gemini Coven.

"We are mates. We have every right," Josie said holding her head high. My mother didn't say a word from where she stood. Her face was a mask. She showed no emotion. Why was everyone so upset about this? "Wolfram, did you know that females.." Nova was cut off by my mother. "This is not the time. Katherine and Kai are getting close. I can feel it. They have left Europe," my mother said. My mood darkened instantly. Luna finally showed herself and had no idea what had taken place. She had missed our discussion about marks and I was glad because I didn't want to deal with that. "Well what is the plan?" Luna asked. Everyone was quiet. "Obviously Kai is feeding off of some serious magic because they are coming in without a witch," Lizzy said. She was right and that's when Bonnie Bennet came strolling through the door. She was starting to age a little. "Bon Bon!" Damon said excitedly. Bonnie gave Damon a smile and then looked at my mother. "The kind of magic that comes from rare bloodlines, coming back from the dead, and a miracle mating?" she asked. My mother's eyes darted toward me. "And a miracle child," Bonnie added. I frowned. Were they talking about me? "Bonnie, it is good to see you old friend," my mother said. There was a welcoming tone to her voice, but her eyes held sadness and an emotion I had not seen before in her, worry. "We have to get them out of here," my mother said. Ric frowned. "They want to cause as much hurt and pain to you as they can. Surely they will find me," I spoke up. Bonnie looked at me and then she turned her hazel gaze to my mother. "He is right Tala. That means he needs to stay. They have no idea about her though," she said. I knew who they meant. Josie was the Queen now and she had to be protected. "Take her Bonnie. Katherine and Kai won't even know you have been here. It will save her life and buy you both some time," I said. Bonnie nodded and before Josie could protest they were gone. I etched her picture in my brain, then I shut our link off. The sins of my family had came back to haunt us and maybe the two saints would be spared.
