I had taken off as soon as the words left Gabriel's mouth. He had let me have two days with Josie before he would take her and the baby away to a safe place. He even agreed to take Lizzy and Hope so they wouldn't be hunted down as the time neared for them to give birth. It would only take a few more weeks, a month at the most. The babies were growing stronger and stronger each day. Soaring through the clouds, I was stopped when Dameon yelled at me. I had left him behind and I could hear him yelling because he didn't know where I had went. I called back to him and finally he reached me. "I'm trying to keep up, but you just keep getting faster and faster," he said out of breath. I inhaled through my nose, trying to keep the panic and my temper from taking the situation out on Dameon. He was my nephew, all he was trying to do was help. "Come on, we have to get home. The rest need to know and the girls need to get prepared," I said. Dameon just nodded, I could tell that this worried him though. We went on through the clouds, heading back to Earth and heading back to our home.
Josie's P.O.V.
I had waited for almost a whole day for Wolfram and Dameon to return. He had went to the angels, asking about his mother and hopefully bringing her home. His father had not moved and showed no signs of waking up any time soon. I wondered if the transformation was just too much for him to handle, the poor man had been through enough. "Josie, come quick. They are almost here!" Lizzy squealed as she ran into the room and out the patio doors. I got up and vamp sped out of the house and into the yard. The family was gathering, watching the return of Wolfram and Dameon. Tala wasn't with them. "Where is mother?" Nova asked as soon as Wolfram's feet hit the ground. Dameon pulled his wings back and turned his head to look for his mother. Caroline was standing a few feet away, beside Marcel, looking at her son and Wolfram with expectant eyes. "We met the angel that created our line," Wolfram started. "Yeah, and Gabriel," Dameon added. Eyes widened around the circle of creatures. "Michael is the head angel and he started our line. Long story short, God made the angels first with twin boys. When he saw what he had created and how well they worked for his big plan, he made more, just one by one. Michael was the oldest of the twins. He had a twin brother named Lucifer," Wolfram explained. "Apparently before meeting my father, but after having Nova and Caroline, Tala won the hearts of Michael and Lucifer. Michael and Lucifer battled before when Lucifer was exiled from Heaven. And when Michael saw that Tala had changed Lucifer's cold heart, he backed down and was willing to let Tala love Lucifer and him only. Except, Tala found her true mate, my father. She left Lucifer and mated with Jackson. Lucifer grew angry because he thought God had done this to him on purpose, with the hand of his brother, Michael. When mom went to the angels to find some answers about dad, Lucifer kidnapped her. Now, Lucifer has my mom and he has big plans for her, for all of us. He doesn't want to harm her, or kill her. He wants to be a father," Wolfram stated. We all stared at him for what felt like an eternity. This was crazy. Lucifer was the devil. "You are sure about this?" Lizzy asked. "Positive. We have to wake Jackson up because he is the only one that can find her. If we don't wake him up, the only chance of defeating Lucifer and the spawn of Satan, literally, is growing in Josie's womb," Dameon explained. Everyone turned to look at me, or rather my stomach. I placed my hands protectively over my stomach. No harm would come to this child. "Wolfram," I whispered looking at his face. "I know, so Gabriel and Michael are coming to take you, Lizzy, and Hope to the Heavens. Not actual Heaven, but to a place they call the In-Between. Supernaturals are held there, rarely, unless they have done something very horrible. Then they are killed. They have fixed you up very nicely so that the three of you can give birth in peace and Lucifer can't touch you. Not until his offspring is 21, which would be a few days after our child, if mom gets pregnant. Let's hope we can stop it before it gets that far," Wolfram said. I looked at his face. "I'm not going, I need mom and..." Lizzy had started, but I placed my hand on her arm. "Lizzy, this isn't about us anymore. It's part of a bigger plan. Our babies need every chance they can get at life. Don't do this Lizzy, just go with us and have the baby. I think that we can do something else to ensure that our children are raised in a happy family and that nobody has a clue about who they are," I whispered. Caroline and Cami looked at me like I had grown two heads. Hayley gave me a tender-eyed look, she understood what I was saying. "Josie, what are you saying?" Lizzy asked. She was frowning at me and Hope had a serious look on her face. "I'm saying that we should give the babies a chance at a normal life before everything falls apart. Maybe, if we can stop this from happening, with them tucked safely away in human homes, nobody can harm them because they have no idea where to look," I said quietly. Lizzy and Hope stared at me for a few moments and then Bonnie appeared. "I will take them when the time is right. Damon and I will go and find them homes, we will make sure they grow up together, but we will bind their powers until their eighteenth birthdays," Bonnie explained. I dipped my head in thanks. "Don't we get a say in any of this?" I heard Rafael's voice. Bonnie turned to look at him and then Damon stepped forward, along with Klaus. Gray and Wolfram looked like they were about to throw up.
"The babes will go to human homes, they will live a normal life of eighteen years, and when the time is right, we will collect them. Each parent will go to each child and take them. The parents will know nothing of what has happened, they will move and we will make sure the children stay in homes where there are no other family members...." Klaus explained. "Or, we could step in as parents. We disguise ourselves as humans a lot easier than you think and the Devil, or demons, never sense us," a female voice said from the doorway of the house into the yard. "Who are you?" Lizzy asked. "My name is Valery. Gabriel and Michael said that you might need our assistance to make this decision easier. There are angels that are willing to help you, that are willing to live eighteen years here on Earth. We will pair up and become parents to your children. We will raise them in the ways of the humans and on their eighteenth birthdays you will have them back. Every milestone, every first step and first word, will be delivered to you," Valery explained. I cringed. Turmoil was going through me. That's when Rafael stepped forward. "Hope, I know that we were so excited to be parents. I will love you through thick and thin, but she is right. We have to protect them. I feel safer knowing angels are protecting them than humans," Rafael said softly. "We want to meet each angel that will be taking part in this," Wolfram said. Valery nodded and then she disappeared.
